This item cannot handle high heat. It warped after the third or fourth use. I wanted the cast iron griddle, but my wife liked the light weight of this one. She still uses it, even if it warps. Go with a cast iron one and you'll be happier.

I purchased one of these griddles over five years ago. It is used often and still looks new. Excellent for helping in preparing large breakfasts and also for one pan meals, Heat one end for veggies, and the other for meat, I plan on buying one for my daughter who has a small apartment stove, she will not have to try and fit two round pans at once, which is a difficult thing if you have ever cooked on one of those small stoves..

I have wanted a 2-burner griddle for a long time, but every time I priced them I was looking at paying $100 or more, and I just could not justify paying that much. This item came as a added bonus to the cookware set, and I fell in love with it from the first batch of pancakes I made. It maintains the heat evenly (although I have only tried it on gas, not electric), and cleans up easily. For those who worry about whether it may warp, I would suggest letting it completely cool before washing.

Had this griddle for at least 4 years. We use it two to three times a week. We actually wore it out so we are buying another one. It is a great buy for the money. Can't figure why anyone would pay $100 for a giddle that gives the same results.
