While I don't use my "little green machine" often, its been a lifesaver every time I have. From kid messes to pet messes, it does a great job getting the stains out. I recently loaned it to my daughter and will be getting her one if I ever want to see mine again!

I'm currently on my 3rd Little Green machine, each one has lasted about 10 years each and that's with regular use. This machine and cleaning formula are the best I have ever used- out of many, many spills, accidents, and stains, I have only had a handful that haven't been completely erased by this machine. This is well worth the money, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone to clean their carpet, couch, car, etc.

This was purchased over a year ago to clean up cat stains. The machine itself is very heavy, and as other reviews mentioned, you must have and use the rubber "duck" stopper. I failed to use the stopper once and the machine leaked dirty water all over the clean carpet. Unfortunately it has continued to leak, with the stopper in place, ever since.

My solution is to keep the machine on a large tray with paper towels underneath to catch the dirty water. This machine is very heavy, so the tray makes lifting and moving a bit easier.

I have also found that the best way to clean stains is to spray/pour carpet cleaner solution directly onto the stain from a separate bottle. For serious stains you may need to let the cleaning solution sit on the carpet for awhile. Fill the solution tank with clean water. Then use the upholstery tool to suction up the cleaning solution. Turn the water heater on and spray the stain with the warm water using the upholstery tool. You can use this as a scrub brush and suction tool. You may need to spray the warm water on the spot a few times, suctioning in between sprays. By using the upholstery tool it's easier to target the stain and the heavy machine doesn't need to be moved. It's easy to manipulate the upholstery tool. I find that it works better than using the entire machine. This system has worked very well for me.

Remember to keep the machine on a tray with paper towels, which will need to be changed when leaking is noticed. Also remember to rinse out the dirty water container. Don't let it sit or it will get very smelly. Be careful when emptying it as there are openings at the top and bottom. I also use a paper towel to clean the leftover dirty water from the machine where the container and machine are connected. I wish I could find a small machine that would work the way the upholstery tool works. Good Luck!

I bought this machine for my daughter when she had new, pale beige carpet laid in her house. With 3 little kids, and pale carpets, I thought it would be a gift that she would have good reason to use and appreciate. Since starting to use the Little Green, she told me she loves it and said it has saved her a lot of stress, being able to spot clean kids' smudges and smears as they happened. I decided to borrow it when I got a bad stain in my apartment carpet. I had tried to clean it with several carpet stain removers, and had given up. This tough little machine made that stain history in 5 minutes! Kudos, little green!
