My wife and I bought this knife set, and we are very pleased with the sharpness of the knives, that being said the fact that the knives started rusting immediately after we started using them out weighs the positive of the product. We will not recommend this product to anyone or buy another product from this company. It is embarrassing to even let company use one of the steak knives due to the rust spots.

I bought these about a year ago and they work so well for my uses. They are sharp, and have stayed sharp enough to slice and chop anything except for frozen foods. The scissors stink, though, so I just replaced them with another nice black pair I had.

Well the title says it all, I have never come across a knife I couldn't sharpen. I have a tri-hone knife sharpener and I can make my hunting knives as sharp as a scalpel but these blades? forget about it, I mean it blows my mind that they can create a knife that cannot get sharp no matter what.

Just an FYI for all you who are complaining about rust on stainless steel knives... If you were to read the instructions stainless steel is not to be run through a dishwasher or left with water on it for any length of time. You should always wash them and dry them immediately... I learned the hard way...

I have had this knife set for over 2 years I bought them for my first apartment. I had a dishwasher in my first place and I never had an issue with rust and I still don't. when it comes to any metal even stainless steel if you leave moisture on them for a prolonged time THEY WILL RUST. I work in a restaurant I know this is a fact! take care of your knives dont leave them in the wet sink dirty clean dry and put them away these knives even though they are super cheap will last you FOR A VERY LONG TIME! My only complaint is they dull easily but hey buy a sharpening stone and mineral oil from home depot for 10$ and learn to sharpen them and they are a perfect buy!

I thought by buying this product I would have a beautiful knife set for a long time; instead, used the knives just once and placed in the dishwasher. Upon pulling them out, the blades were covered in rust spots. I even tried using brillo on them, by hand, and this did not remove the discoloration. NOT a good product at all; I am going to see if Bed Bath and Beyond stands by its products :( Pick another set of knives.

I purchased these knives just over one month ago. I loved this knife set until rust spots started appearing on the blades. Stainless steel??? I had my last set (different brand) for many years and never once had a rust spot on a knife blade. Wouldn't recommend this brand.

This set is not worth it. We bought this to go with our newly remodeled kitchen, and I am sorry we did. The knives are not sharp and 2 of the steak knives won't even go all the way in the holder unless you force them, and then you can't get them out!!! Seriously thinking about taking the loss of the $40 and getting another set....

They rust. The blades fall out. They aren't sharp at all. The knife block falls apart very quickly. It leaves a weird powder residue on my counters whenever I touch it.

We bought these for almost 90 bucks, and for 90 dollars you would think they would be pretty good! Yet, with-in 3 months they have fallen apart. The blade fell right out of the handle. They rust. They do not cut well. The other bades are all lose as well...I am so upset over this product. I could of went to Walley World and got this product for 30 bucks or less. So to come to BED BATH and BEYOUND and buy this for $90.00 is a huge let down! I should of just took the money and threw it out the window. Thank BED BATH and BEyound for selling me overpriced worthless knifes. Your business is not better then the local dime store.

This is a really pretty set, looks classy, and i registered for them despite the bad reviews. Well, I have had them on my counter for two days now and noticed the black paint/or coating on the block is chipping and peeling off!! I didn't get it wet or anything, I don't get it, and the knives I have washed have spots on them, looks like stains, not rust, taking this set back tomorrow :( what a shame.

I'm thinking the previous reviews must be fake because these knives are excellent!! I received this as a gift for Christmas 2010, and they are the best knives I've ever had!! They are sharp, and have never rusted, and I use them a lot. I don't understand the low rating. Buy them...you won't be sorry!
