I agree with Jessica - this is a great juicer at a great price. A friend has the Breville, but Sharper Image is just as good at half the price. I have much counter space - so this works well. I've had mine for a year.

I don't know why the ratings for this juicer are so terrible. I've had it now for about 2 years and it's still serving it's purpose! Grant it, it's no Breville Juice Fountain (which is what I really want), but for the cost, it performs just as I had expected, does exactly what I need it to do, and is very easy to clean. You do have to chop some larger fruits, like apples, in half because the feeder isn't wide enough.

Do Not Buy This Juicer

Do not buy this juicer for yourself or someone else.
My husband registered for it for our wedding and we received it as a gift. He used it once or twice when we first got it. I recently used it (about 2 years) later and the plastic on the top cracked in half and pulp went all over my kitchen. Honestly, there could have been an accident. I guess I should of been wearing eye protection!
Sharper Image won't do anything for it. The company that makes the product, EMSON, won't replace any parts past the 1 year warranty. I understand the warranty, but how about offering a replacement part for purchase?
I'm SO glad I didn't buy this myseld and received it as a gift. It is completely useless and I hate that I have to throw it out now.

I read the bad reviews. People must not have read directions. It's a great juicer at a great price! If an apple is too big, don't stuff it down - slice in half. Be smart, don't overstuff the feeder and force down veggies/fruits. Wait until motor is off before moving juicer. I fill up my sink with soapy water water just before I use, put the parts in it after use. Makes clean up easy. I love the little hard bristle brush to clean the filter. In five minutes, I'm done cleaning and ready to use again! It's perfect for the counter - not big and clunky Love it.

I had that juicer a little over a year and I used it maybe 10 times. From the beginning I noticed that the left overs still had a good amount of juice in it. I used it few more times and in some point the plastic inside broke off on baby carrots and I had to return the juicer to the store. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

After juicing about $20.00 of produce a large piece of plastic broke off and got juiced in with the produce. Had to throw it all down the drain and this juicer went right into the trash too. Only had it 2 months, I won't even bother trying to get a refund. Ordered a Breville which I should have done in the first place. Had I read the reviews about the Sharper Image first it would have saved me a lot of headaches. Yo DO get what you pay for.

I got this juicer aout two months ago, have used only a few times, maybe 5 or 6, today it broke the top part with an apple, also the mottor is very weak, it will stop with very low pressure from just about anything harder the grape...

I bought this juicer after the holidays and have been very pleased with it. I've used it consistently 1-2 times a day and find it produces a lot of juice. The only issue I had was that the top piece cracked (I think due to my putting a lime down the chute when motor was running and it kicking back), but BB&B allowed me to exchange it quite easily and I'm back to juicing again. For the price and as an entryway into juicing, I think it's a great deal.

I purchased this juicer on Saturday and since then have used it 5 times. I was on my 6th juicing this morning when the motor went out and I wasn't trying to juice anything out of the norm either - oranges (w/o the peel obviously) and carrots (cut into thirds). I will be wasting my lunch hour today to return this P.O.S. Skip this one when doing your juicer shopping! Trust me!

The plastic chute I put the produce in broke and now my produce ends up half juiced and half in the pulp bin. Even when it worked, the pulp was always wet, full of chunks of produce, and seemed to take a heck of a lot of food to make a little juice. I'm shopping for a more expensive and better quality juicer.

Purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond in Octber 2009. Yes, I used a 20 percent off coupon. I didn't use this very much except to make some Green apple Appletinis every once in a while. The machine cleaned up ok. So, fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I started making a green drink with kale, celery, cucumber, green apple, lemon and ginger. Initially it worked well, but the motor just burnt out last night. Wasn't even pushing it. Only made two 64 oz. batches of juice in two weeks and now it's dead. Buy a better juicer.

I bought this juicer 2 weeks ago. Almost immediately the blade bent and the juicer started vibrating. Took it back for another try. The new one does great with soft fruits like oranges, but throw an apple in there and its like trying to hang onto a jackhammer. It jumps and vibrates like crazy and causes the juice to splatter everywhere. It makes great juice, but the performance is horrible. Twice is enough for me. Taking it back and exchanging for a different brand.

the price is good for this juicer but the performance is poor. I bought this juicer 2 years ago and I returned it after first use because the pulp was really moist after juicing and and there were pieces of fruit in the pulp and I noticed that it took a lot of fruit for just a little glass of juice.

My kids love juice I replaced their juice with the drinks from the juicer. They love it! Easy to clean. Dump & rinse. They juice taste great it juices everything. Even the leaves on the strawberries.* You can't juice bananas or avocado's. The only downfall. Not sure if you can with other juicers. But I like it.

Disappointing on many levels. It doesn't come with a closed pitcher to catch the juice, so there's colorful splatter. The pulp that's left is very moist, which means there's still a lot of juice left to extract. I also found chunks of veggies & fruit in the pulp bin. For the same price range, I'll go back to Hamilton Beach.

First one we bought didn't work, so we exchanged it for a new one, and now it works great! It is easy to use and makes excellent juice. My only complaint is that it is really annoying to clean, although most juicers probably are.
