Handy guest bed

We bought the Raised Pillowtop Aerobed (Queen sized) in 2012 when we were expecting guests for a family reunion. Inflating the bed was easy and simple. The height of the raised bed made it easier to use. There were no leaks and the mattress retained its firmness through the night even with two people sleeping on it for several nights. We experimented with different levels of firmness more out of curiosity than any issues with the mattress. It was comfortable and large enough for two adults. Deflating it and putting it away in the carry bag was pretty easy and quick too. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star review is because of the noise of the pump. It was LOUD and I am not particular sensitive to noises.

Aerobed Leaks

In May 2012, I purchased the expensive Aerobed assuming it would be a quality product. It was used about 10 times and then began to leak. Can't find any holes, the leak is a very slow one. Daughter and husband visited Dec 2012 and were sleeping on the floor after about 4 hours.Re-inflated and let it sit without anyone on it. In about 12 hours it had lost its air pressure.

Aerobeds problems

The designers at Aerobed have a problem. Each new version of their bed has a positive change and that is why you decide to purchase it. However, each new model seems to shed the improvements of the last model. For example, my new aerobed is 22' high -- much better than my last one only 18' high. But, the new model has eliminated the ability - to tuck your sheets in. Where as the old model gave ample room between the sections of the air mattress to tuck your sheets and blank in. The new model has no such space available . So the sheets and blanket just lay on the bed. This makes the bed each morning a loose jumble of lumpy sheets. UGH! What is wrong with Aerobed?? I could not believe such a change would ever be made. What designer in their right mind would design such a bed.

Got this for Christmas and honestly used it 4x's. Holes showed up on the 4th use and needless to say my guests woke up on deflated Aerobed.

I wouldn't pay a dime to have leaks repaired for a bed I used THREE & A HALF TIMES! Not at $300 a pop for these beds.

Very disappointed. My family has used these Aerobeds successfully over the years which is why I insisted on getting one of these for Christmas.

Very sad.

The mattress was purchased to be used over Christmas for my elderly in-laws. We were a bit concerned about thier comfort level on a blow up mattress for 5 days. Surprisingly they said that it was the most comfortable mattress they had slept on in a while and could not believe it was a blow up.

I got this bed for my mom's visit and wasn't sure if she'd like it but she loved it. It is VERY comfortable (maybe even more so than my beautyrest!) The only thing is that we are on our 3rd one as the first two did have a leak in the seam. We use it all the time not just for visitors! With BB&B's return policy though I have no worries about it. I would rather pay a bit more and buy it here because they really have a no hassle guarantee and they stand by it!

After looking into several portable beds I decided on this one and was not disapointed. It is a quality unit, very simple to operate and also quite comfortable. This product sprung a leak after about six uses. If it were half the price, I'd live with it and repair the leak. But it should be this fragile for being this expensive. I've had cheaper air mattresses that were much more durable.

Ordered the queen size and it arrived very quickly. I had read many reviews on this bed both good and bad and was a little worried about leaking or bubbles forming. I had company this weekend and they switched off using it. The lady said it was VERY comfortable. The guy not as much but he is rather large and so I think he should have let some air out. So it's so far, so good. I will have many opportunities for others to try out when my kids come to town.
