Customer Reviews for 30 Reusable Ice Cubes

30 Reusable Ice Cubes

Reusable ice cubes are an ideal way to chill any beverage without watering it down. Place cubes in the freezer to freeze the non-toxic distilled water inside. After use, simply wash cubes and re-freeze. Top rack dishwasher safe, but hand wash recommended.

Daughter Loves Them

I bought these for my daughter because she hates putting ice in any of her drinks. She even orders her drinks without ice when we go out to eat. So when she saw these in the store she just had to have them. She uses them pretty often and has never complained about them not keeping her drink cold. I have not used them so I can't comment on that but I can say I have a very happy 10 year old and when a bag of fake ice can make my 10 year old happy, you have a very happy mommy

Very useful, but not for drinks

I use them for shocking hard-cooked eggs and blanched vegetables. Bought a bag of these a couple days ago to add to a bag I've had for years. Several of the cubes in that bag have split from being used so often. I don't use them for cooling drinks because, as many people point out, they aren't as effective as proper ice cubes. Dump the entire bag into a big bowl of water, and they chill it quite well.

The water-filled plastic fake ice cubes are a lifesaver when traveling and no ice cube trays are handy but a freezer is, such as at a relative's house who doesn't normally keep ice in their freezer and you'd wither away without your ice! Wash carefully or there's a slight taste of plastic, but after that, these cubes are otherwise WONDERFUL. A lifesaver at my mother's.

Won't dilute drink but, won't keep it cold either

I was browsing the store the other day and came across these reusable ice cubes. They promised not to dilute my drink while keeping it cold. It seemed like a good idea, because I hate watered down cola. It lived up to the no dilution promise, but these cubes do nothing to keep my drink cold. Such a shame, because it seems like a really promising idea.

Not Really Satisfied

Was really looking forward to getting these for the hot NYC summer. After reading the reviews, I figured I'd give it a shot and went out this past Saturday and purchased two packs (30ct each @ $3.99). I have used them numerous times throughout these past few days and have been quite disappointed. Using a 16oz glass and 6-8 cubes, ice remains solid for approximately 30 minutes at best (in an air conditioned room away from any heat source). The funny thing is that my regular ice cubes last for close to 2 hours in the same environment. The only good thing about these reusable ice cubes are the first few sips. Really wish I had not purchased two : (

They totally live up to their hype. However, my dog and my son have already busted 4. The shell is too thin!

I have been using the Cubbies and this item is by far the better one...They last a long time and don't water down the drinks like regular ice cubes do...

Really good alternative to ice

I've always hated the way ice dilutes a drink because I drink somewhat slowly and dislike having diluted tea, cola, etc.
A thawing reusable ice cube causes some condensation on the outside, but it's not enough to make a noticeable difference. It's the best alternative to normal ice that I know of.
I haven't tried using these with any alcoholic drinks, and I'm not sure I would; mixed drinks might be fine, but the plastic might not be so great for something like whiskey.
Also, the only things I don't like about this product are cosmetic issues. It would be better, I think, if all the cubes were clear, not just some of them. And there's little plastic nubs on one corner of each of the cubes (from the mold in which they were formed at the factory, I assume). It doesn't make any difference other than it looks kind of silly.

I don't know why, but my ice cube maker makes awful tasting ice cubes. These reusable ice cubes are the easiest ever! They really do keep drinks cold, and the best part is they don't get watered down. When you're done with your drink, just rinse them off and refreeze. I just put these in the bin instead and have stopped using my ice cube maker altogether. Easiest Ever!

We have had ours for about 4 months....Love Love Love them...they have been great. I hate Ice cause when they melt your drink is all watered down...not with these. They keep your drink cold and I have not had any problems with them. Plan on getting about 60 more.

The cubes have a seam which will pop the instant the cubes start to thaw. I suppose it's good that they are just filled with water...I hope.
