Close to the two year mark, I started losing the number on the temperature display. Shortly after that started, the unit stopped cooling. Was glad that BBB took the unit back with absolutely no hassle at all.

I would like to retract my review from 10/2010. Sure this refrigerator worked great at first, but after about two years, it stopped cooling. I had it repaired and it worked for about 6 more months before it stopped cooling again. Cuisinart used to be a really good, reliable brand, but not anymore. We also have a Cuisinart can opener that didn't last long. No more Cuisinart in my kitchen.

Terrible - Never Again

I purchased the 6 bottle version of this wine cooler. It died after a year. Cuisinart would not fix as I could not find the receipt. The fan engine was faulty. I will never buy a product like this from this company. Also the Cooler will only chill wine if the temp in the home is kept below 70 degrees.

Terrible, worst registry item!!

My husband and I really wanted a wine cooler and thought this would be great in the wine room of our new house so we added it to our wedding registry. It was very easy to operate, temperature controls self explanatory. After 8 months of having it plugged in and completely full at all times, my husband went to grab a bottle out and it was warm. The digital screen was reading the wrong temp. and the refrigerator was plugged in and not even on. I called Cuisinart who really didn't even ask for an explanation and automatically told me they would send out a brand new replacement fridge and take this one back. They wanted to charge $10 to cover the shipping which I figured would be fine since I didn't have to waste my time taking it to the store so I agreed. After everything was said and done, I asked the girl in their customer service dept. how I was to send the one back that broke. I wondered if they would email me a return address label or issue a call tag. She proceeded to tell me that was MY responsibility on how my broken refrigerator got back to Cruisinart and then said if it wasn't received within 30 days I would be billed for the new one! Needless to say I told her that was a terrible policy to not be responsible to have their defective one shipped back and proceeded to tell her to cancel sending out the replacement that I will take this back to BBB. My husband and I did just that and with no problem at all from BBB we did the return and ordered a completely different wine fridge from a completely different manufacturer. We had another issue with another Cuisinart product we received as a wedding gift that also had to be returned to BBB earlier on. Needless to say I WILL NOT buy any Cuisinart product again and I PRAISE BBB for their service and return policy. It is one thing that keeps me buying from them time and time again to know I have that security in case something like this happens and the manufacturer will only back it up half assed!

Second One Quit

My children bought me the Wine Cellar as a Christmas Gift , the first one quit . Was replaced , now the second one has quit . Its still under warranty but I was transferred overseas . So no way to return it , I called to see if I could get a new system board . No way they don't sell parts for them. No more Cuisinart for me .

Well, wine cellar #2 worked no better. Same problems as the first one. I brought this one back and got a whole new one for the same price that fits triple the amount. Seriously, no one should buy this. Bad job Cuisinart!!

My first one randomly stopped working for the 6 months i had it. I finally brought it back to BB&B who gave me a whole new one. It was working properly for about 3 months and is now randomly turning off, like the first one, although not as often. Go with another company if you can.

I've read negative reviews of this product on other sites, but decided to try it anyway. I bought the wine cellar about two months ago and love it. It's extremely quiet, doesn't run all the time, even in the hot summer when the house was about 82 during the day. It maintains the temperature with no problem. The shelves can be easily removed to make room for larger bottles. It looks great in my kitchen and is perfect for the casual wine drinker who just wants to keep a few bottles on hand.
