Love these Dishes

I've had these dishes now for 8 months - I didn't want to write a review until I had them for some time. I use them as my every day dishes and put them in the dishwasher daily. I've not had one single problem with them and they are as beautiful today as the day I purchased them. I use them both for fine and casual dining and everyone comments on how beautiful they are. I've never had any problems with them and have even bought Food Network accessory pieces that match it nicely.
Love these dishes!

I registered for 2 sets of these and received both... that was the only good part about this. As soon as I opened the first box and examined the large plates, 3 out of 4 of them had very noticeable imperfections. The frosted daisies all had scratches in them already and on one of the plates, the whole pattern didn't even transfer and the daisy petals looked like they were cut. That was enough for me - I took them back last night and I'm headed back today to find a different set. FYI I found out last night that the larger stores carry a MUCH bigger selection of dinnerware (that was per the saleslady at the location I was at). The smaller stores don't have ANY china either. On a side note, for china, I got the Lenox Vibe sets and those are AMAZING,

Imperfections

I registered for these for my wedding and received 2 sets. Every plate, bowl and cup had some sort of imperfection. So, back to the store they went and we exchanged them for 2 more boxes (hoping to get 1 complete perfect set). After seeing all the positive reviews, I was crossing my fingers that I just got 2 boxes from a bad batch. Again, my new sets all had scratches, discolored spots or other imperfections. I LOVE these dishes and the pattern, and I am sooooo bummed that I have to find a new pattern. I'm so jealous that so many people have had great luck with these dishes because I didn't. They are gorgeous!!

My husband an I asked for this dinnerware set in our wedding registry because we loved the modern and classic (at the same time) look this set has. We have had them since Jan 2010 and use them every day wash them by hand and dish washer then stack them on top of each other and they are still like new. We still have the whole set because they are durable unlike other sets i have where we have broken almost everything!
Would recommend it definetly !

Beautiful dishes

I bought these dishes when I bought a new house nearly 10 months ago. I use them when we have guests (at least once a month) and occassionally just for my boyfriend and I. Unlike some of the reviews mine are NOT scratched, i dont use spacers and i've ran them through the dishwasher many times without a problem. My suggestion would be to use these as the "nice" set but to get more durable ones for everyday use if your worried about it. I have gotten so many compliments and love these dishes!

Scratched Mess after 12 hours!!

I bought two sets of these yesterday. I only opened one box and ran it through the dishwasher. We used the dishes at dinner, and I ran them through a second time. This morning on emptying the dishwasher, they are scratched, the pretty shiny bits are a mess, and I am taking them all back. VERY disappointed.

I was so excited when I received these at my shower yesterday, I unpacked and washed them right away when I got home. They all came out of the box beautifully! They look stunning on the aqua placemats that I registered for. The design is delicate and I love how the place setting looks when the salad plate is on the dinner plate. the contrast between the glossy and the pearl is very attractive and the pictures don't do them justice. I can't wait to start using them! The only thing I wish was different is that the bowls were deeper. They're very shallow and I imagine that they will easily spill if they were being moved (like counter to table). I will be saving these for when we have company sitting at the table. I plan on going and buying just a couple inexpensive bowls for our everyday cereal/soup eating.

Cheap quality - scratch very easily!

The design of this set is just lovely, but the quality leaves much to be desired. When I took the plates out of the box each one had little scratch marks all over. When I stacked the plates on top of each other they would leave marks and deep scratches on the surface. Mine 4-year-old $40 set is in a greater condition now then this $70 one out of the box. It is just not worth the money. They have to go back. Don't even bother buying unless you want to put them on a shelf as a decoration without being able to use them! You will be disappointed!

I ordered a different set on-line and when I received it - they were not what I expected. My husband, daughter and I went to the store to return them and pick out another. Without consulting one another - we all picked this design (222 Fifth Avenue Alice Platinum). The return/exchange process was SOOOO easy. They even offered to exchange out any pieces that might not be perfect (bubbling or of course, cracked). BB&B is wonderful. We have enjoyed this set for entertaining and we always receive compliments on the set. NO COMPLAINTS!

I got these for a wedding gift. They are very pretty and have a very subtle daisy print so my husband doesn't mind them either. The only problem we have is the bowls are very shallow so it is hard to eat soups, cereal, etc. because it spills out easily.
