scale just makes you mad had two different models took the first one back lost the receipt for the second one and threw it out. You casn loose or gain 6 to 8 lbs in ten minutes and never move. Save your money and get a cheap one with a spring in it at least they stay the same

This scale gives different weights within 5 minutes of each one. Terrible. Horrible. Phenomenally frustrating if you are trying to undertake a weight loss project - The primary tool to measure your success is totally inaccurate which can lead to very disappointing days. GARBAGE.

We have three of these...and after trying many others we keep coming back to this one. It is good looking, and easy to read. It takes a couple weeks to break it in so when you tap it comes on easily...the first few times you have to tap hard....and with a non digital scale you don't get tenths or even accurate pounds so I don't get the complaints in different weights...which has never been more than 2 to 3 tenths of a pound.

My scale has totally gone on the fritz! I have changed the batteries, it's on a solid surface, and yet the readings can vary by over 20 pounds in one day. I wouldn't be frustrated if it was a pound or two off because you can still get an idea of where you are, but when it's wildly inaccurate within a 24 hour period it completely fails as a product. I will be going out to purchase a new scale today, and it will not be this brand.

I have never written a review before, but feel compelled to do so. Wish I had saved my receipt or read the reviews first. Everytime I get on this scale it shows a different weight - even if I weigh myself several times in a row! And yes I followed the directions and placed it on a hard, level surface. Tapping it to turn it on is also a joke, and you need to be a sprinter to get on the thing before it shuts off! Save your money! I am going out to get a REAL scale!

This scale works great for me. It seems pretty accurate. I moved it around and weighed myself all over the whole house and it gave consistent readings.

My only problem with it is the whole "tap to turn it on" thing. Your supposed to tap once in the middle. That doesn't work consistently for me. What I do, is nudge the side of it with my foot, and it comes on first time every time. Works for me! If I had to rely on the tapping thing, I would be frustrated with it, though.

I purchased this scale JUST yesterday. Wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE hand. I agree with all the negative aspects other people commented on. Tap in the middle before you weigh is a joke. You either need to physically move it or choke it and I was getting close to doing the latter. I weighed about 5 times this morning and I got 5 different weights within a 6 pound range. I know what my weight is but this is totally out there. I have my receipt and the all the packing material and today back it goes. What a waste of time and energy. I'm not asking for perfection but I would like something remotely close to being somewhat accurate.

This scale is truly dreadful..... Wish I had held onto the box to get my money back - - what a complete waste of money THIS piece of garbage was!!!!! Just this morning, like every morning, I would step on this thing and get about 6 different readings - - and they were NOT even CLOSE!!!!! I mean like twenty pound differences so I had NO CLUE what I weighed...... And YES I was weighing on a hard, flat ideal weighing surface. This scale is horrendous - - DO NOT waste your money.....Take my word!!!!!

disappointed at Bed Bath & Beyond for carrying such an inferior product. Unfortunately I threw away the receipt, so I'm out $40.00, but I will shop someplace else from now on.

I bought this to replace my VERY old scale. I bought it 3-4 days ago for $19.99. Not worth the price. Not even banging, tapping, or dancing on top of it turns it on. When I'm ready to give up it turns on and I rush to get on it before it turns off. I wish I can return this garbage but I threw away the box. Needless to say it gives me the wrong weight much lesser then the old one. Which gives me too much hope when I'm not that weight. Plus it feels cheap. :-p But that's what I get. :-D

The scale in and of itself isn't that bad as far as measuring weight. However, the scale itself is lacking in quite a few areas. Personally I don't have a lot of space to leave a scale laying around which is where this things is excellent as it is very thin. On the downside, I am in my early 30s and have excellent eyesight, but the one that I picked up has one of the dimmest displays I have ever seen. If you want to actually read your weight, there were times that I found myself moving from side to side and up and down just to see anything. Also, when I did leave it on the floor, you don't just tap it, I had to pound it in just the right spot to get it to turn on most of the time, while other times, just moving it from the space that I had it placed would turn it on. Over all, its just not worth the price.
