The sweeper doesn't get close enough to the edge of floors/walls and so tough to get crumbs up etc. Works marginally better on the carpet setting for bare floors. Might spring for a Dyson next time. But the charge does hold longer than the previous model which is a big plus!

I tried a couple of rechargeable sweepers, but the suction was not good enough to get my floors clean. The Shark's suction is excellent and the debris container is large enough to do the floor each day. So far keeping dog hairs at bay is easy with the Shark VX3 Cordless.

I have large area rugs and hardwood floors. This sweeper is wonderful. It does the job on both. I also use it to sweep the kitchen floor; no more broom and dust pan. It easily goes under furniture so you can do it all. This was a very good purchase.

The Best little Vacuum

I had an original Shark Sweeper (for about 9 years) and the handle had broken about 2 years ago. I continued to use the thing because it still worked. Now, I've given the old one to my hubby to use in his workshop and I treated myself to this newer model. It is great to use for a quick pick up of cat fur on the carpet and not have to pull the big vacuum out every day. IT IS GREAT!!!! Hopefully this model will last as long as my original that is still going!

The salesperson highly recommended this product. The first day I was excited to see that it actually was picking up dog hair and dust. After a few more uses, it seems to just move the dirt/hair/dust around. Not sure if I have a defective product but I have only used it about 5 times.

I bought this after seeing one in use at a resturaunt thinking it might work great on picking up the ABUNDANCE of dog hair our dog sheds. I was right. As to the [negative] r reviews:1. Using the floor setting is best when on hard floors vs using the carpet setting. 2. It also begins leaving things behind quit a bit when it needs emptying. TRUST ME... this works FAR better thean a broom or "dust mop"... I already intend to buy another one whenever this one wears out. This is GREAT as a daily spot-cleaning between those regular detailed cleaings.

Great at picking up all kinds of things. Battery has a long charge. Container holds a lot of items. My only complaint is that the feature that helps to fold the handle for getting under items, causes the handle to be flimsy when using the vac on low pile rugs.

I bought this sweeper for everyday use to sweep behind my twins, it works AWESOME! I use it on carpet, tile and wood floors and it does the job. Of course it's not as great as my regular vacuum, but I didn't expect it to be. This is my 3rd Shark sweeper and I am a forever customer.

This product can only be used on carpet. It won't pick up dust or dirt on wood floors.......it just moves it around. Also the plastic housing seems to attract the fine dust like a magnet and must be wiped with a damp cloth to remove it.

we bought this to use between the daily vac of the carpets and wood floors. It picks up beautifully, even the dog hair during shedding season. I don't like how it empties. I always end up having to use my hands. I lso have the compartment that the dust catcher is in full of dirt. But all things considered I would buy it again.

I just threw out my 3rd Shark vacuum in 4 years. I LOVE the cordless option and got a lot of use out of my Sharks for the first 8-9 months. After that the battery starts faltering and I can't get more than 5 minutes without recharging and eventually they completely die. The freestyle model lasted me just 12 months.

Perhaps it acts differently in different environments, but this sweeper did nothing but move dust bunnies around and spit back half of what it was to pick up. The problem with it seems to be that it relies on the beater bar to sweep stuff up, rather than vacuum suction. Great if you only want to pick up dense, solid items. But when it comes to dust, hair, or the occasional dog toy stuffing, forget about it. It actually propels these items away due to the wind force of the beater bar on hard floors.
Next time we'll opt for something with suction power.

Wow!!!!!!!! all I can say is I have wasted so much money on all brands of vacuum cleaners. When I bought the Shark Upright VX3/1950 model I was skeptical, but I bought it anyway. I am so glad I did!!!! Sounds/looks deceiving, the proof is in the tray at the bottom, you will not beleive your eyes, It picks up everything!!!!!!!!

Great Vacuum for the price . i have a small apartment and this vacuum is great for it. you have to empty the trap often... which i don't mind because well.. its doing it job. i have kitten and on the floor setting it gets all her litter. the vacuum is easy to hide. just give it a good charge before you use it . i like to plug it in the night before i use it . but like i said for the price this does a great job !
