Registering for gifts is not easy. You do not know if you will like the things you originally choose 10 years down the line. This pattern, however, completely takes away all of that doubt. It is simply elegant. My husband and I- who have two totally different tastes- know that this pattern will be beautiful now and twenty years from now. It has more detail than the typical platinum band wrapping on outer rim, but still subtle enough that it could never be considered "gawdy" or "in bad taste". It's classic with an original twist. We love out place settings!!! It was absolutely the best choice of our entire registry :)
