Very handy bed!

This little bed is just what I needed! I live in small quarters and don't care for big beds; I wanted something that could be folded and put away, Japanese-style. Air mattresses were okay, but tend to leak after a few months. Actual Japanese futons are very expensive over here and nearly impossible to find. While looking for a folding cube-shaped mattress/chair (available in the UK but not here anymore), I found the Linon folding bed available through BB&B. It's a little fancier than I'd had in mind, but still Spartan enough. Best of all, it folds into a vertical block on wheels (and of course the mattress won't leak!). Only two drawbacks: There were no assembly instructions (I'm a professional furniture assembler, so I figured it out easily; but I have no idea how this would be for someone else), and the plastic clip that locks the handles in the "closed" position is often difficult to unclasp. I'm also curious about the weight limit...

As good as a folding bed can get

I got this bed and I was very satisfied honestly. I slept on it myself when I had guests and used a mattress pad for extra comfort. I am a physician and tend to be picky but honestly I was very pleased and I think it is as comfortable as a folding bed can get. I totally recommend it.

Disappointment

Such a disappointment. For the price, the quality of construction and materials are substandard. It reminds me of sleeping on a "taco bed" in a cheap hotel. No support. This is from only lying on it. Sleeping on it all night? No way.

Great Wedding gift

We wanted something we would not normally purchase that made great use of our gift cards. After looking around, I saw this portable bed. Although it sleeps rather low to the ground, it is compact and the approximate size of a twin. It fits really nicely into our closet spaces.
The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because the mattress is not super thick... but you can still make the bed comfortable by adding your own padding (or extra blankets) on top. My sister has used it before when we had a house load of guests and slept quite comfortably. I am buying another to have delivered to the in-laws because they have house guests all the time.
