horrible design, has a screen like bottom so liquids, dressings, and juices can leak into the ice. This is only good for keeping chips cold.

I have used this several times for outside patio parties this summer. Very hot weather. I use ice cubes not bagged crushed ice. several hours later there is still ice in the bottom of the bowl. No need to refill the ice.

Not as good as the veggie tray

The acrylic veggie tray is an absolute 5 star as you can add ice by simply lifting the tray and adding. Unfortunantly, you cannot add to the fruit cold ice bowl as you must first remove the fruit and the divider and then lift the bottom rack to add ice. Wish they could make a simple design change so that it functions as well as the veggie tray!

Best Outdoor Bowl

I just used this for our annual 4th of July party and it worked like a charm. I had fresh fruit in it with a fruit dip in the cup. We also have the appetizer one but this one is way better because of the top!! It keeps all the bugs off the food!

Bought this for a family picnic in the hot St. Louis summe for veggies and fruit and it worked wonderful! Kept everything cool and crisp. The only down fall is to empty the water and refill the ice you have to take all the food out. Would be nice if the bottom detached somehow to make it easier, but still a great investment!

Very handy and useful in all seasons. Got one from my sister in OH for my birthday this summer and have used it a lot. She raved about what a great idea it was but when I asked if she had bought herself one too she said no. I had the perfect gift idea for her September birthday. Couldn't find at my local store and was afraid it was a seasonal item but when I went online and entered the product name it popped right up. So convenient too since I live two time zones away and was able to have it sent directly to her door. She was thrilled to receive it and I was happy to find something she'd really enjoy.

We were planning to take a lettuce salad and a gelatin salad to a church picnic in September. I was wondering how to keep them both cold. I searched the Bed Bath & Beyond website for salad bowls when I found this bowl that has a compartment for ice. When I read the details, I knew I had found what I was looking for. I ordered two of
