Great grinding and very quiet

This grinder is great. It's easy to clean and maintain. I am compairing this grinder to my old grinder that I had for quite a few years. It was a Capresso Burr Grinder Sensor and finally wore out. When I used it would sound like an M-60 tank reving up. Very loud indeed. I like this new model very much and use it every day.

Static Problem

We received the Capresso grinder from our wedding registry. It did a nice job grinding the coffee, as advertised. But as soon as we removed the plastic grinding chamber from the unit to take out the coffee, static electricity sent the grinds flying everywhere: all over the counter, all over our hands, and all over the unit. I tried a dozen troubleshooting fixes - everything I could think of and more that I found researching online - to no avail. We ended up returning the grinder and getting a Cuisinart. The Cuisinart doesn't grind as consistently, but at least we don't have a huge mess after every grind. It is a shame, but the Capresso was just too messy every single time. Kudos to BB&B for their great return policy.

First burr grinder good experience so far

I have had a blade grinder prior to this...didnt like the uneven grinding. This burr grinder is nice for even grinding, seems grind size from middle to course is not very different but does make a great fine grind for espresso. I mostly use course for my eco cup for my kcup brewer. This is much quieter than a blade grinder. To keep from making a mess dont fill the hopper to max which fills the grind cup to the top and with the light static build up it will make a mess. So break down your grinds to 2 half sizes and it will not make a mess. Very easy to use and clean. Very happy with it

Static & mess galore...

The product seems very well made and compact. Many settings, great capacity and grind options. Quiet. These great features are unfortunately overshadowed by a horrific mess whenever removing the container after grinding. I have tried sticking a metal spoon (per Capresso Tech Support, I kid you not) and using the "cold" beans. Doesn't make a bit of difference. I finally grew so weary of taking 10+ minutes to clean after what should have been a 2-3 minute operation. Grossly inconvenient, horrible Capresso support. Thank goodness Bed Bath & Beyond is a class organization. They refunded my purchase no questions asked and were superbly helpful. I will buy again from Bed, Bath & Beyond. I really wish Capresso figured the problem out, would have loved to keep this product. Pain in the butt!

After reviewing burr grinders, I chose this one... and Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase from! Good choice in both cases. The many choices for size of grind allows me to tailor the grind to the type of coffee I am brewing. I have had my grinder for over two years and have had no problem. The reported issues with static electricity goes away if the coffee is kept refrigerated for freshness. This compares with grinders costing three times as much that I have used!

worst grinder I've ever used

I've just thrown it in the trash after ruining it trying to clean it. We had a Cuisinart burr grinder for years and it was great, but just wore out. So we thought we'd "upgrade" to this more expensive model hoping it was easier to clean or somehow better for $30 more. It was so messy, throwing grounds all over the counter, I wanted to take it back after a couple weeks, but didn't, unfortunately. Then after it clogged over and over and quit working until the coffee was dug out, the fragile plastic hopper broke placing it back on the poorly designed unit. Since we obviously "misused" it, it was not in warranty and we couldn't get our $89 back. Too bad, we bought the Cuisinart and are happily drinking freshly ground coffee once again.

Mess Maker in the waiting

Have used this product over the past few weeks, and without fail, every time I open the chamber containing the freshly ground coffee I am greeted by a mess! The ground pick up some static charge (I'm guessing from the grinding blade), and when I open it, the friction with the plastic tray sends the grounds flying. I have to clean up a coffee ground mess after every grind.
On the positive side, the multiple grind feature and easy turn dial are excellent. Good grounds every time. Just prepare for a mess.
All in all, I don't recommend this for $100. My $30 plain grinder does just fine. This expensive one is for my work.

I can't believe that I've never used a burr grinder before, but WOW is it the BEST. Will never go back to a blade grinder & as for the noise level I consider this one quiet, remember you are grinding coffee beans. Easy to find ythe perfect setting & since the grind is perfect we have found that we use less coffee, clean up is easy & just tap the sides of the plastic container with the grinds to help with the static issue. The aroma of the the ground beans is heavenly.

Best coffee grinder I've ever owned!

I love coffee and have owned burr grinders for decades. This is by far the best burr grinder I've ever owned. It's much quieter than other grinders so I no longer feel badly grinding my coffee very early in the morning when guests stay with us. It produces much less static than other grinders, too, so no problem of coffee grounds flying everywhere. Just follow the directions to put the beans hopper on correctly; the directions are on a large yellow piece of paper so you can't miss it when unpacking the grinder. I can't rave about this grinder enough - it's the best & I love it!

I've gone thru more coffee makers and coffee grinders over the past many years than I care to count. My last grinder, a DeLonghi blade type, used 2x/day, 365, served well for its 6-7 years. When its cover would not stay on securely, it was time for a new grinder.
As I searched the coffee grinder market, I was told the burr method was the way to go. Based on other's reviews, as well as style compatibility with my Cuisinart Brew-Central, I bought the Capresso Infinity,
It is an excellent product and I thank others whose reviews steered me in its direction. The end product (ground coffee) turns out perfectly, and the many choices of grind (coarse to super fine) make it very versatile. The Capresso is simple to operate, more efficient than a blade grinder (no need for extra container to hold beans), and spotlessly clean. There are no scattered grounds, mess, etc. The icing on the cake....it is QUIET. With burr grinders' reputation for being noisy, this model is quieter than any blade grinder I've ever used.
I highly recommend this outstanding product. My coffee never tasted better.

Great coffee grinder!

We bought this coffee grinder about eight months ago, out of frustration with our previous, tiny grinder. It works like a dream, if a bit noisily, and can provide a wide range of grind fineness. We usually grind about 2lbs at a time and it never overheats or makes weird noises. It's wonderful to have such fresh coffee on hand, and it makes all the difference in taste. I'm sure the solid burrs could handle grain as well if you wanted to make your own flour...though I would recommend a second grinder for that, since you don't want to have to deep clean it every time you switch from coffee to grain. The unit comes apart easily and isn't difficult to clean. The only thing I wish was different was the size of the hopper. It only holds 6 oz or so, which is perfect for one cycle of the dial, but a larger hopper would cut down both on static and time spent grinding. All in all, a wonderful machine and I would recommend it to anyone.

I previously had two Black & Decker burr grinders, they worked okay but were extremely loud. (I need two grinders, one for the office & one at home). My husband thinks the Black & Decker was actually causing me to lose my hearing..... Anyway, I purchased the Capresso Infinity because several reviews had stated it was quiet - and the difference between the Capresso Infinity and the Black & Decker is like night & day! I also like that I can turn it on and walk away, no need to stand there with my finger on the "grind" button to make it go - so I can be halfway across the kitchen while it's grinding. But I can stand right next to it and it's probably 1/4 as loud as my old Black & Decker. I'm thrilled with this coffee grinder, so now I need to order another one for the office! Hoping they hold up and don't quit on me, that will be the true test - they are rather pricey so they need to be durable. Otherwise I'm happy with the grind, but I'm not as picky as some people, the finest setting is great for my espresso machine and I found the perfect medium setting for my automatic drip machine. Great product, I'm so glad I purchased it!

A Great Grinder

This is my second Capresso It replaces my well-aged, beloved first Capresso which died before its time owing to a bad batch of what turned out to be rock-hard coffee beans from a new, unknown coffee vendor. (I should have known better!).
Had my first Capresso for many years and I believe that there are very few, if any, better ones out there, especially at that price. Highly Recommended.

purchased this grinder after the one I had previously just quit one day. at this time I have owned it less than a month, but i have used it daily. The performance is excellent, it is quite and grinds perfectly each time I have used it. I love the fact that it cuts off immediately. I have not experienced any of the fine coffee dust that I did with the other grinders I have used in the past. 5 stars not given because of the short time I have owned it.

We have gone through several coffee grinders over the years, and this is the best one ever. It does what it is supposed to do - grind coffee to a uniform consistency, to the degree of fineness selected. The Capresso Infinity also does this quietly and without creating much static at all in the finished product.

The Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder is a superior piece of kitchen equipment. It grinds perfectly on every setting, not too noisy and easy to use. I’m impressed with how sturdy it is and I’m sure it will be the last grinder I ever have to buy (sorry BBB!) It's a little messy but what coffee grinder isn't messy? I just put a moist paper towel underneath it before grinding and clean up is a breeze. If you really like coffee, get a burr grinder, you won't be disappointed and you will taste the difference.
