There are only two of us and we did not want some complex, hard to clean food processor......just needed to cut some corners on chopped vegetables and grinding herbs. This is perfect and a very kool color and super easy to clean!

this little machine replaces one I had for years that finally gave up the ghost. Same brand too. It has been improved upon and works like a charm to chop onions, garlic, peppers etc. Made wonderful guacamole for two in no time at all. Happy I bought it, love the feature that lets you wind cord on bottom when not in use, takes up minimal room on coun ter top.

I recently purchased this mini food processor to use for simple recipes such as basil pesto. I figured it would be just the right size for smaller batches. However, the plastic base vibrates and moves around the counter as soon as it is turned on, so I have to hold it the whole time, while trying to manage my ingredients. Secondly, the engine gives off a terrible scent, as if it is burning and working too hard for itself. Finally, the cover (which has a small raised section with 2 holes in the top for "easy pouring") means that I have to remove the whole cover each time I add an ingredient to my recipe, making a mess. For example, if I add olive oil to my recipe through the "easy pour" holes in the cover, and then need to add salt and pepper, I have to remove a cover now covered in olive oil to be able to add the salt and pepper, covering my hands and my work surface in olive oil. I would not recommend this product and will certainly be going back to the more traditional food processors with the spout on the top for easy additions. Very disappointed by this product.

I recently bought this and two weeks later I had to crush up some pretzels so I put them in a baggie and started pounding with a meat mallet and realized, "Duh, this is why I bought mny pretty pink food processor!"

It did a great job grinding up the pretzels. I switched back and forth between the two settings as many have recommended. Worked great.

great for small quantity chopping

I got this product from a wholesale club for $25 about 5 years ago and loved/love it! It is perfect for chopping items in small quantities. Only now, 5 years later, is it beginning to act up - and by that I mean the blade is dulling resulting in not-as-nice-a-chop and the motor doesn't seem as strong. replacement parts are slightly less then I originally paid, so I think I'm just going to pick a new fun color and sunset the one I have.

Too many problems

From the second or third time I used it, if I pulsed for more than a couple of seconds, the unit smelled like it was burning rubber, so I only pulsed for 2-3 seconds. I thought about returning it, but otherwise it was a great unit, so I kept it. Then, about 3 months in, the blade started to rust despite the fact that I always cleaned and dried the unit immediately after use. I called Cuisinart customer service and they were willing to exchange it, but I had to pay shipping both ways to the tune of about $20. That is their warranty policy, as stated in the manual. However, since I use the unit to make baby food, I didn't want to take the chance of the rusting happening again. I luckily found the receipt and Bed Bath was so nice about honoring the return.

I purchased this product probably a year or so ago and I love it. It is very easy to use for like making hummus or salsa or just chopping. I love it but the video said it was dishwasher safe so I put the blade part on the top shelf of my diswasher and it cracked the base of the blade. so just a tip, dont put it in your dishwasher. otherwise its a great item
