Customer Reviews for Rowenta Rowenta® Ultrasteam Brush

Rowenta Rowenta® Ultrasteam Brush

This handheld steamer is truly efficient for effective wrinkle removal. The electrical pump dispenses a continuous flow of steam, and the large removable fabric brush opens fibers for better steam penetration while protecting the fabric. Variable steam control adjusts for the right amount of steam for different fabric types. A removable lint pad also removes hair, lint and other particles effortlessly. Unit has an ergonomic handle making it easy and comfortable to use on hanging garments and drapes. A transparent water tank is removable for easy filling. Includes a high-quality storage bag for storage and travel. UL listed.

Don't waste your money

A lot of steam came out but not one wrinkle did. I went through about 3 barrels of water for a small area on a sheer blouse and it did not work AT ALL. Don't bother.

Does Not Work!

After owning the same Rowenta iron that is still in excellent condition for three decades I thought this little steamer would be of the same quality. It doesn't even get hot, only warm. The manual has warnings about never steam a child or an animal, that could only be dangerous with a steamer that actually produced steam instead of spitting out luke-warm water. I will be returning this waste of money.

Bought the Rowenta Ultrasteam Brush for my college student son. He loves it! Took the wrinkles out of jeans! I have the Rowenta full size valet steamer and will purchase another Ultrasteam to go in the camper. Highly recommend it!

I bought this thinking that being a Rowenta it would be a great product . . . boy was I wrong! The water reservoir is way to small and it did not remove even the slightest wrinkles. I returned it! I wanted a smaller one for storage reasons, but now I might go with a full size one.

The steam is not hot enough to remove fabric wrinkles quickly and thoroughly.

I bought and returned this in the same day. I tried using it on a curtain panel BIG mistake. I had to refill it approximately every 45 seconds or so because the water resivoir is so small it only holds a few tablespoons of water. Steam is not powerful at all either. woul NOT reccomend. It's only getting one star from me because I have to select something. Totally disapointed!

Disappointed

I bought this steamer to press a linen sports coat for my husband to wear at a film premiere. I followed the directions. I had to refill the reservoir about 5 times to steam a size large sports coat. The reservoir continually spilled water, including sprays of water each time I pressed the "burst" button. I had the sports coat on a hanger. It's awkward to use. One must hold the bottom of the fabric down and then quickly steam. The steam does not always disburse in the "bursts" of steam that one easily gets from a regular steam iron. The enterprise took me over an hour and by the time I was done, the sports coat was soaking wet. Would not recommend.

Not Worth it

I bought this steamer to just unwrinkle some simple blouses and dresses- nothing major. It took forever. And couldn't get all the wrinkles out- even on the highest setting. The resevoir is incredibly small! I would have to fill it up 4 times just to do a simple short cocktail dress. It just doesn't steam out wrinkles.
I've used a "Little Steamer" before. I'm going back to that.

Only good for small, light tasks

Very small reservoir - it says it's good for 4 shirts but only lasted me a little over one jacket on high steam. I suppose it could go longer on a lower setting. My bigger issue is that you have to keep the button depressed the whole time, and you have to use a fair amount of pressure so your thumb starts to tire after 5 mins.
I'm returning it for something else.

Almost ruined my wedding dress.

I bought this travel steamer to take on my destination wedding and to steam my own dress to save on costs. The handle got REALLY hot and steam did not come out like it should have been coming out. While trying to figure it out, I couldn't even hold it handle it was so hot, so I placed a hotel white hand towel over the handle and when I took it off, it was brown from being burnt. I returned this item for most likely being defective, and if it actually was functioning properly, I am so disappointed and do not want others to risk it.

We were so excited when my daughter received this steamer for a shower gift. We were going on a cruise where the wedding was to take place and we thought we could steam the wedding parties outfits so we would not have to worry about getting them ironed on the ship. The day before the wedding we started steaming the guys shirts and pants and after 1 1/2 hrs. with no results ( we even tried to pull the material tight so the wrinkles would come out easier ) we ended up having to get an iron and ironing board. We were very disappointed.

I took wrinkles off of a 10' by 10' cotton-fabric green screen & it did a good job & I didn't have it on the highest setting. Yes, the water reservior is small (3-fills to finish job) but its probably 2 limit it's weight and it's travel size. Compact, powerful & easy 2 use! Recommended!

I've owned 4 steamers & my last steamer was a fantastic Rowenta that lasted 10 yrs+. So I purchased this one in good faith & it's the worst ever! Steam would only come out if I held it upside down! And it was weak steam anyways. Took 20 mins to steam a garment that would usually take 2 mins. The water tank is tiny. Spits water everywhere! Took it back immediately & ordered the Jiffy travel steamer online. Love the Jiffy...worth the $$.

My first clue was water droplets still in the tank when I took it out of the box. Apparently someone else returned it. I spend a whole tank of water (very small tank) on 1/5 of a panel of curtains. The curtains are a rayon poly mix with a liner, heavy stuff. Also, tried to get the wrinkles out of a non iron costumn, nothing. It is not very powerful. I caught my daugter with her hand behind the fabric, where the steam was coming out... was not even hot. Also tried on a T-shirt, still not good results. I'm looking at a J-2000 now. You pay for what you get I guess.

Wow!!!!! I purchased this yesterday for an upcoming cruise. I decided to try it out on my office curtains. There are 4 silk linen panels in my office and what do you know - this little contraption ironed all the kinks out. Now I did have to refill and be patient with it - thus the reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5. But I have told all my friends that will be joining us on this cruise to go out and make the purchase! Wonderful - I'm a happy camper.

I've read mixed reviews about this steamer, but I think it works great. It doesn't hold much water, but one load of water is enough to steam an entire outfit. It is very lightweight, and the steam button lets you control when and how often the steam is released. I haven't used the brush or lint remover, but they attach well. I'd definitely recommend it.

this product simply does not work. I tried it on some work pants of my husband's. Synthetic material. Even tried it with the steamer on high, still the wrinkles were there just as they were before. At most, this product leaves pants a little wet. Rowenta is supposed to be the best... guess not
