This microplane is great. I got one for myself several years ago and it comes in so handy that I got one for my Dad for part of his fathers day gift. It's great for getting ginger down to a fine mush, or garlic, zesting citrus without getting too close to the pithe, and fine shavings of chocolate.

This is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I love using it to grate a block of cheese over whatever I am making. Its also great for zesting lemons, limes or whatever else you need. Couldn't be happier, and I'd reccomend it to anyone

I use this almost daily for garlic mainly. I cook with a lot of garlic and you get more flavor if your able to quickly grate it :) I usually add garlic to side dishes like carrots, string beans, spinach or peas and my one year old LOVES them. Im buying one for my mom right now as a matter of fact :)

If you cook at all, you need one of these in your kitchen. This tool makes zesting and grating virtually effortless, no need to press as hard as you can! I've used it to zest lemons, limes, and ginger root. I've also grated bark chocolate and parmesan cheese. It's completely dishwasher safe, the cover is great for storage, and at this price, it's a steal! The way I see it, you could spend $10-15 on a common grater that will leave your hand and wrist fatigued through half a block of cheese, or you can just spend the $15 first and be happy with this! :)

I have an older type grater at home. I found zesting lemons so tedious I was shopping online for "lemon zest". No kidding. Then I read about microplaners to do the job. This tool makes zesting lemons FUN! What a difference it makes. I got a far greater volume of zest per lemon plus it was not messy nor did it cut into the bitter white beneath the peel. Thanks for a great product!
