The collapsible microwave food cover is great both collapsed and expanded. It is so easy to cover food either on a plate or in a bowl and has vents to let the steam escape. It helps keep the microwave clean and prevents food from drying out. I highly recommend it!!

TALLER THAN NORMAL - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I never liked the clear covers that were never tall enough because the handles indented into the food and got burned and damaged. What's the use of a cover that isn't tall enough to clear the top of a stew-soup bowl or a piled-high super nachos plate? For years there were different sizes and colors, but NEVER tall enough! I think Tovolo is 4 inches tall when extended whereas the clear types are only about 2 inches up to the inside center indented handle. I don't bother to collapse the Tovolo. I keep it in the microwave 24/7 so it is handy yet out of sight. Just love it and so easy to swish a soapy sponge around it and throw back in the microwave. It's a plus that the red Tovolo matches my kitchen. One minor negative is my dinner plates are bigger than the Tovolo circumference but if positioned just right, it stays on the plate while the turntable moves. I never use the handle feature on top of the Tovolo because I'm too short to reach the top of it inside the over-the-range microwave so I just grab the Tovolo from the sides with mini-potholders and tip it forward so that all the steam escapes to the back of the microwave safely. Such a reasonable price at BB&B for such a wonderful tall cover which I've been searching for ever since microwaves first came out years ago!

heats food more evenly, gets it hotter, and keeps the microwave clean inside. easy clean up in the dishwasher. just be careful taking it off the food, steam! and the plate/bowl gets hotter, so grab your mitts. have given to my mom, sister, and aunt...all love it and use it frequently.

Great idea but the grab bar at the center top is really not manageable to use a a knob. I cannot get my fingers around it. So if you don't mind-- then it is a useful product. I especially like the collapse part. I can store it in the drawer next to the microwave!
