I love my iron!

I have been using this iron for years, and I love them! I haven't had any problems at all. If you find they are "spitting" make sure you use only drinking water sold in the grocery store and back down on the steam feature on both the iron and base. I used to be angry at having to iron and this cuts my time down to nothing. I highly recommend this iron.

Worst iron ever-not even one star!

I bought one and it did such a good job I bought my daughter one the next month. Mine started spitting water an leaking all over the floor in less than six weeks. Then just would not come on. I unscrewed the cover to see what happen. It is TOTAL junk on the inside. All hardware was rusted as if was 20 years old! Have they ever heard of stainless? At this price they should at least use stainless steel hardware!
I borrowed my daughters and guess what, it was already leaking. Both were less than 2 monts old.. I paid with tax almost $400 for these two rusty buckets they call irons!

I just love this iron. Everything looks better and takes way less time. The only thing is this is my 3rd iron. Two times it quit steaming, but Bed Bath & Beyond was wonderful and just exchanged for a new one with no hassle. BB&B is so helpful this way if they have the product I need, this is where I buy!

Terrible power cable

As an iron PERFECT, but an improvement is needed on the power cable, it breaks after a year of use (it's my third unit) because the cable seems to be ok to handle the power capacity but it warm then the junction between the iron and the cable breaks. It will need a design review to improve the cable performance. For the rest an excellent Iron.

Professional results

I hate to admit it, but I iron a lot. When I was looking for an iron that produced professional results, I stumbled on this product and I have never looked back. I have been using it for 3 plus years and have never had a single issue. I also like the fact that I can steam draperies it as well as the most delicate fabrics. Some of my friends laugh at me about my obsession with my iron and that is fine with me!

I was given the DG5030 as a birthday gift and it is amazing. After the water has gotten to the proper temp you can do better than the cleaners when it comes to pressing your clothes and removing wrinkles. I would recommend thisbtonanyone who would be serious about ironning.

Best Iron Ever!

I remember my mom having previous irons and they were all terrible and expensive till she found this one! This iron is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I got it for my bridal shower and it's the only iron i swear by. It is not difficult to use. The only complaint I have is that it takes long to warm up because of steam, but that's understandable. I barely have to ever iron I basically always steam my husbands shirts in the morning before he or I go off to work. Suggestion, if you want to steam an article of clothing morning before work or the night before, just turn on the iron while you're getting ready for bed or getting ready for work!! I'm telling anyone who reads this, invest in this iron!

Best ever work horse!!

This is the best iron I have ever used. I have a small bed and breakfast and my friend owns a Party rental business. I found it first and I iron all of the sheet and table linens with it. Heavy duty regular use.My friend uses it 100 times more.. Yes I had to replace it but I just went into Bed, Bath and Beyond and they gladly replaced it. The company stands behind their product 100%... I don't know any other single item that can say that. It is a real work horse and if you buy it at B B&B you can look out for a 20% off coupon.. Happy Ironing!!

Great until it blew up

I thought this iron was the greatest. Had it about 2 years. You could steam the wrinkles out of your face if it wouldn't burn you. About a month ago steam started spewing out of the resevior. I was going to get new rubber washer for the seal, however, I turned it on last week after filling the base, twisted the top on tight & got ready for work. When I went in to use the iron I found it had exploded. It blew the top right off of the resevior and the pipe into which you poured the water was sticking up out of the base. Water was spewed all over. Still haven't found the top. Up until that time it was super. Now I'm spoiled and no other iron works as well, so I guess I'll have to go spend another $169. I will definately go get some rubber washers to have on hand for the next one.

Best Iron EVER!

I have owned this iron for 4+ years and I can't imagine using a conventional iron ever again. I iron at least once a week for several hours at a time and this iron is wonderful. It is especially great on delicate fabrics that seem impossible to iron. My friends and neighbors ask me to steam/press things they are afraid to do -graduation gowns, 1st communion veils, party dresses, etc.

I have purchased three of these irons in a 2 year spand. The iron does not hold up to large ironing jobs. All three irons have broken down on me during a large project leaving me no choice but to purchase another one as a conventional iron just will not cut it. I am left in a jam once again with this product. If you plan on using this iron once in a while then this is the iron for you. If you plan on using this iron on a daily basis then you may want to consider and purchase a commerical ironing system as I have. Although initially the product works great, it does not hold up. For the price one would expect this iron to perform longer than six months to a year. This is not a good choice for everyday use.

I truly love this iron however they dont last very long considering the price ! It seems that they last 3 to 4 years... However this iron is amazing its worth the expense just very disappointing that they dont last. And once you iron with this type of iron you can not ever go back to another iron...

My daughter used this iron in her bridal store and I loved it. Your linen clothing will look as sharp and crisp as if you had them drycleaned. It's a little cumbersome but well worth the effort.

The 1st broke after 2 months, the 2nd after 2 years. It died a slow death, spitting water, then steam escaping the resevoir burning me and finally the seam of the resevoir leaking water.
While they lasted, made ironing a breeze, almost fun and clothes never looked better.

Have had four Rowenta steam irons. They are programed to crash after three or four years in order to keep the company in business. They worked well for their predetermined life and are worth the investment(not a life long one).
This damned DG5030 is a piece of s...!~ Spits and stains on demand. Just pull the steam trigger twice!!
Followed the directions to the letter!~ Ugggggg.
Please note that BB&B ane Amazon requires at least one star. That is too generous.

Typically "no gifts with a plug attached" is the rule.
I am so happy that it didn't apply here. I hate to iron and living in a very warm climate, we use a great deal of cotton. This iron does everything but iron for me.
Yes, it does take about 10 minutes to warm up but I am sorting at that time. Yes, there is some spurting of water but I have found that just before I use it for the first piece of clothing I hit the steam trigger and it gives me that first watery burst of steam. Everything after that is great. I even press our tee shirts. NO, I am not crazy but I do like to take out something from the closet and have it look neat and tidy. Would definitely recommend this iron.

Rowenta is not a quality brand

I have returned my third DG5030 pressure iron after it split the reservoir seam and leaked all over my flooring. This is the third unit I have used and I am only using it for general ironing chores. I exchanged it for a smaller non-reservoir Rowenta Steamium Iron which was defective straight out of the box. This product was great when it worked, but the lack of quality means that I will NEVER buy a Rowenta again; further proof that expense is not synonymous with quality.
