This is a great can-opener. It is heavy duty and well built just like my old one. I am surprised that it cost less than six dollars. When I bought my last Swing-A-Way can-opener 15 years ago I am sure it cost much more than six dollars back then.

Great Can Opener For the Money

My first Swing-A-Way lasted 20 years before the cutting wheel wore out. I bought this replacement and it has worked well since. The newer ones seem to need an occasional squirt of WD-40 or the like into the gear bearings when the turning effort increases (due to corrosion?), but once you do that they work as well as new again.

This product is very good. I am very happy. I purchased 2, one for our kitchen and one for our emergency earthquake kit.

All metal construction, no plastic parts to break or wear out. Best buy for your money. I highly recommend this product.

LOVE this can opener which I've had for 3 years now. I'm petite and I hate trying to mess with a product that is too big, heavy or up high (like one of those stuck the counter can openers). This tool fits easily in my hand, works quickly and is highly used in my kitchen. There is a little residue on the gears, but it is probably b/c I haven't taken that great of care of it (ie. washing it) which actually says the world about this product.
