I really wanted this quilt/blanket stand and liked the style, but it arrived broken, and it appeared as if it had been opened and reshipped when it was returned before. I returned it.

The screws it came with would not fit! I had to go buy new screws and then it was all wobbly. Had it for two weeks and then trashed it. Waste of money!

I am very pleased with my purchase. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. I have displayed three quilts. The wood color also looks very rich and goes beautifully with my Pottery Barn bedroom suite.

Easy To Assemble Beautiful Walnut Blanket Rack

I assembled this while watching an episode of a TV show on my DVR. It took less than half the time the show, about 20 minutes and that was with the help of my little Yorkie. When my husband returned from his Man Cave he asked "where's that thing you wanted me to put together" and I told him it was in the bedroom. He came back and couldn't find it. It was covered in blankets so I showed him. "Oh, I thought you needed my help?!" So that is a ringing endorsement for the ease of assembly as I am NOT mechanically talented. I love this rack for all my light weight blankets and I can set my slippers on the bottom of the rack at night. It will be just as welcome in the winter for grandmother's quilts! I love the quality of the wood and the finish is excellent (my husband is a very able craftsman in the woodworking department) and the price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend buying two for larger households, because now my daughter wants one for her dorm room! Only question I have is, do they come in PINK? :)

Assembly not easy

The assembly was incredibly difficult. It definitely required 2 people and even then it's not nearly as sturdy as it should be. I'll eventually have use new screws to reinforce it. It looks very nice but for $50 the assembly was too annoying.

It is very pretty and holds a good amount of blankets. But the assembly was not as easy as it should be. It was hard to tighten the screws into all the rods. Due to the difficulty it is not as secure as it should be.

VERY difficult to assemble alone, need 2 people for job. Wrench included in set is flimsy and easily strips the screws. Had better luck with a simple wrench that came with another item.... Bars almost see too short for the rack while assembling. I bought 3 of these. One for family Room, one for Sunroom, and one for Playroom. I worked for a long while alone assembling first 2, the other box has been pushed in back of closet until I feel the urge to GO FOR IT. Looks beautiful once fully assembled... antique, classic design!!

Big Disappointment

I was so looking forward to this rack as it is beautiful and solid. However , when it arrived it was broken on both sides at the bottom! I was so disappointed! I went back to the website to look at the reviews and, sure enough , this has happened several times. So why is BB&B still carrying it? Save your money and buy a metal one on sale.

I received my blanket rack today and was able to assemble it independently and with ease. It is sturdy, well-constructed, and the finish is very nicely done. I highly recommend this product. I do see that another reviewer had problems with quality control, so buyer beware.

Nice, but be prepared to return a few

My brother has this rack and it works and looks great. My wife received two racks for Christmas; one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. One went together well but the other had a gouge on one piece and the other frame was completely broken. I returned it and had another shipped, and just (a few minutes ago) opened it up to find that this one has the exact same broken frame. Frustrating that a company (Winsome Wood) can't get a package to my house without destroying it. I will go back again to BB&B and ask for a 3rd to be sent to my house. We still want it, but I am starting to question the quality of the product. The one that works is beautiful though.
