Since you do not secure it to to the door itself and if you have any force at all when closing the door it swings away at the bottom and all the shoes fall on the floor. I returned it immediately.

Disappointing

Unless the shoes had a heel to rest on the rung, when the door it was hung on was opened, the shoes without a pronounced heel (which most of mine are) fell to the floor. I spent most of my time picking them up and putting them back on the rack before I finally gave up on it completely.

Design Flaw

Because the designers chose to put the nail holes on the inside of the frame rather on the outside, it is a flawed design. It is very difficult to properly affix the bottom of the frame to the door...which it must because of the pressure of the shoes pressing against the door.
Do not buy this product until the design is changed. It is very frustrating that such a product would be allowed to be sold by BB&B because the design is so obviously inconvenient.
Nailing holes into a tiny, hard to reach area next to the floor is not cool when all the designers had to do is move the nail holes.

Great product for a quick fix. Study enough for heels and sneakers. No tools required! The only problem I have with the product is that it blocks the doorknob.

PIECE OF GARBAGE!!!!!!

Save your money and buy something different! This has been a huge disappointment and if i still had the box/receipt i would take it back! Only works for heels or shoes with a significant heel- as most of my flats slip in between the rack and the door. Often a random bar will come undone and there goes that row of shoes on the floor. Find a better way to store your shoes and don't make the same mistake i did in purchasing this!!!

Almost killed my puppy

I brought this shoe rack because i was getting a new puppy and wanted the shoes off the floor so he didnt chew them. i installed the rack as instructed and nailed it to the door to be extra safe. After about a week of it being up I came home to hear my 11 week, 2 lb yorkie-poo screaming. an when i looked the interlocking pieces had came undone and fell off the door landing on my puppy which was trapped underneath. what use is it to nail it to the door if you can not secure the top portions. this product is useless, unsafe, and a poor quality waste. DO NOT BUY!!! they should remove this off the shelves and remodel it. If I could give it negative stars I would.
BTW i have small fee kids 5.5 so it isnt the sive if the shoe or the weight

Not sturdy enough

The weight of all 36 pairs of shoes was too much for the structure. The weight moved the entire rack and broke the plastic where I had drilled the screws through to affix it to my closet. Very disappointed.. now I have huge screws in my closet that aren't attached to anything. Would NOT recommend. Find something more durable.

I am a little obsessive when it comes to organizers. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this shoe organizer. I have a considerable shoe collection and minimal space in my NY apartment. I don't think this is an eyesore at all as some of the other reviews have stated. I love that I can color code my shoes on this rack. It acts as a mini display when I open my closet door. I will be buying the boot rack as well.

The rack was too heavy for the door and the shoes kept on falling off the rack. Then the hook parts did not hook correctly on the rack. I will not use it at all!!

I was always having trouble finding both shoes in a pair. The problem is resolved with the over the door shoe rack, plus it frees up my closet floor. Be aware if you're going to fill it you will need to anchor it to the door. Otherwise it will only store 2/3s to 1/2 of it's capacity!

I have had this on my door for 3 days and it has fallen between 5-10 everyday. Easy to put together but falls apart even easier. I can barely open my door with it on because it is so big. Its a good idea, just a terrible product. It has caused me so much frustration, which I thought was the opposite effect of organization.

Very functional but not the best looking

PROS: 1) EASY TO ASSEMBLE (took me about 15 minutes without any tools). 2) RELATIVELY STURDY once assembled and hung up. 3) GREAT SPACE SAVER - You can store about 36 pairs of shoes (dress pumps, flats) OR about 24 pairs of sneakers/men's shoes. 4)NICE RACK DESIGN - The shoes tilt into the door so there is less chance of them falling off even if you were to close the door with more force. 5)FLEXIBILITY TO REMOVE RODS FOR BOOTS AND SUCH. This will obviously reduce your capacity but I do like that flexibility.
CONS: 1) HULKING SIZE - check the measurements before you buy. This rack is 23" wide, 73" long and 8" thick. It fits my 27" inch wide door without any problem but I was not able to fit it to my 24" doors (the size of doors for most of my closets) as the rack hinders the 24" door from closing properly. This hulking size will also make the shoe rack the focal point once you open your closet - make sure you are ok with that. Lastly, due to the 8" thickness, you would need to make sure that your clothes are not so close to the door to allow room for the shoe rack. 2)NOT AESTHETICALLY PLEASING - The side rails are plastic so the rack looks cheap. (The rods are metal though.)
CONCLUSION: Although this shoe rack will never win awards for its hulking size or aesthetics, it is a very functional piece that is relatively sturdy for shoes. It sure beats those fabric or plastic over the door shoe pockets. Until they come up with something more aesthetically pleasing, I would recommend this to my friends.

Typical Chinese manufactured garbage. Thing falls apart at the drop of a hat. It fell apart one night while my wife and I were sleeping and I thought somebody broke into our house. This product represents the downfall of capitalism...

Not Worth the Money

This rack would be perfect if you have a spare door to hang it on, facing into a room. It does not work behind the door because it is so wide that the door doesn't go far before it hits the wall. I put it in an extra closet. The door is hard to close without the rack falling apart. The bottom rack quickly broke off and the second one continually becomes detached. If you screw it to the door, an optional option, the plastic breaks. Not quality, or functional.

After looking at many, many, I loved the look of this shoe rack, and measured my door to make sure it would fit. HOWEVER, when I attached it to the inside of my front closet door, it will not allow the door to close if the racks are in the open position to store shoes!!!! They stick out too far & hit the door frame when trying to close. I'm going to see if my husband can cut down the poles. It won't fit as many shoes, but at least we'll be able to use it at all.

Not Sturdy at all

I bought this shoe rack in excitment that its perfect to go over my bedroom door, access easliy so I can see everything. The storage space is great, but 2 weeks in after my boyfiend nailed it to the back of the door to keep it sturdy, the poles consistantly comeout of the holes and the rack continues to fall apartment, leaving me to restack 40 pair of shoes. This product is not study at all.
