Like many others I had been using the Farberware coffeemaker, I read the reviews on the Cuisinart and decided to make the purchase. I am thrilled with the way my coffee makes. I never switched to a drip maker, just did not like the way the coffee tasted. Love my perked coffee. you will too.

I registered for this item based on the reviews and style. Only after I noticed it had been purchased, off of my wedding registry, I bothered to look up the difference between perk coffee vs. drip. I had seriously regretted registering for this item, after reading blogs about the inferiority of percolator coffee. However, I bit the bullet and brewed a pot instead of returning such a great gift.
The coffee does NOT taste burnt or too strong, the strength is determined by how much coffee you choose to put in the basket. Had I wanted to brew a stronger pot, I could have ground my beans finer and added more in proportion to the water. The instructions are clear as day right in the manual.
BONUS, the coffee is way hotter from the percolator than any drip coffee I've ever had. This is the best pot of coffee I've ever made.

I chose the Cuisinart classic 12-cup percolator after reading customer reviews and because of Cuisinart's reputation. This brand replaces four Farberware percolators purchased over a dozen years - most of which in the last 3 years because of poor quality and brief lifespan.
I was pleasantly surprised after the first cup brewed from the Cuisinart. It reminded me that coffee could be better than I remembered! It's been that long since I have enjoyed such a delicious cup of coffee. You do not need to buy $9 lb. coffee to get a good cup of coffee using Cuisinart. No coffee grinds either, because of the well designed stainless steel basket and lid. Enjoy!

My entire family prefers perked coffee and good, strong coffee at that. the spout on the Cuisinart is far superior to the other percolators. In the past we loved the Faberware until they changed the spout. The Hamilton Beach doesn't work nearly as well, keep the coffee as hot or last as long as this one does. We keep replacing and replacing as we wear them out for constant use after more than three years. They do last pretty long and if something goes wrong they replace it without a problem, great company to deal with, great customer satisfaction as well.

Percolator does not make strong enough coffee. Used the same amount of water and grounds as with previous Cuisinart percoilator, but coffee is very weak.every time It peks long enough. Coffeee weak like you get in a restaurant.

I am now on my THIRD Cuisinart percolator. The first one stopped working, the second one, the plastic bottom broke off, now on the third, which was supplied from the manufacturer....WILL NOT PURCHASE AGAIN when this one dies....it's only a matter of time....

This is the best Percolator I have ever had. I love it makes great coffee. I have had coffee makers MR Coffee to Bunn, this percolator is alot better than any of them. The coffee is far better than any made by the coffee makers. The pot is very nice looking. It looks great on any kitchen cabnet

For years I tried several popular brands of drip style coffee makers which produce not much more than a cup of hot water, I went back to a percolator like I had 50+ yrs ago. After much research, I decided on a Cuisinart and glad I did. I like to see the coffee circulate in the clear knob - that was one feature I was looking for. A percolator seems to produce an aroma those ultra fast drip coffee makers don't. There are not many percolators in stores, but Bed, Bath & Beyond ordered it for me and I received it in a few days. A percolator is the only way to make a good cup of coffee.

I bought this Percolator this week and I couldn't be more pleased! This is a well constructed coffee maker - I was planning on buying a brand my parents have used for years, but after checking it out at the store and seeing how the quality was not of years past, I chose the Cuisinart brand. It has the true percolator top so you can see your coffee brewing. It is nice and fast, and a perfect termperature. It also pours beautifully - I highly recommend this percolator.
