I wanted something that would not disappoint so that I would want to keep juicing. This juicer is awesome! We have juiced lots and made almond butter so far. The pulp comes out pretty dry and I plan to use it for other recipes. It is quiet and easy to clean. Definitely worth the investment and a great companion to our Vitamix.

Best Masticating Juicer for the Price

I am new to juicing, so I did extensive research on juicing and available juicers before purchasing (this Omega was highly recommended at many web sites I searched). The best advice I ran across in my research was to consider the kind of juice you want to make. If you want to focus primarily on leafy veggies, wheat grass, and hard fruits and veggies (apples, carrots, beets, etc.), this is the juicer you are looking for (get a centrifugal juicer or a high quality blender for soft fruits/smoothies). This is a sturdy machine that is surprisingly easy to put together and take apart to clean. I would never have dreamed it was so easy to assemble/disassemble by looking at the pictures. I recommend checking out discountjuicers.com for a video demonstration of the Omega. The pulp is DRY, DRY, DRY! Although the foam is not completely eliminated, I find that straining the juice TWICE through the accompanying screen removes most of the foam. I couldn't be happier with this machine. It does everything it promises to do. Take a 20% off one item coupon with you to Bed Bath and Beyond and you will get the BEST price anywhere on this juicer.

I was hesitant to purchase this juicer due to the hefty price tag, however I was very pleased with this machine. It is quiet and extracts a lot of juice from fruits and veggies. Also included is a mesh strainer to filter out the foam. Love this machine! My kids even like the juice. Another positive quality is that it can grind coffee beans and other types of hard beans. It is well worth the money.

At first glance this juicer looked intimidating, but after taking it home it took only a couple of mins to get it going. I first bought Jack Lalanne's juicer last week, but realized that wasnt the kind of juicer I was looking for. It was Great to juice carrots, apples, pears and oranges but not for leafy veg's due to the faster motor. If you're looking to juice leafy veg's as well as other fruits, this would definitely be a great buy. Easy to assemble and wash. My children loves drinking the juice and has been a tremendous way to get their daily fruit/veg serving. Makes healthy sorbets treats w/ frozen fruits and does much more!

I've used other juicers and this one is the best for the money. Although it's a slow juicer and the chute is on the narrow side, you get much more out of your vegetables and fruit compared to faster juicers. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking to maximize the nutrients and juice from their produce.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old juice-man juicer. The Juice-man was a good juicer, but had a crack in the feed tube do to age. I bought the Omega due to great reviews on this site. Those reviews seem to be removed now. I am writing this review because I feel I was miss led.The Omega is OK but it is very slow to juice and it still foams up the juice as much as other juicers. Not interested any any other features I just want to make juice. I took it back to Bed and Bath they were great about it I changed it for a Jack LaLane Pro which is great, and will be reviewing soon.

I bought this primarily for the juicing functions and was pleasantly suprised to learn that it juiced AND (supposedly) makes pastas and baby foods - tho I still have yet to try out this feature.
The juicer is not industrial strength, however, it is incredibly well built and sturdy. I've put a range of things thru from oranges to ginger roots and carrots and it handles them all. I was more careful putting the roots thru and you could hear the gears working harder but it was no problem. I've been using this periodically for the past 6th months without any problems.
Have been spreading the word about how wonderful and versitile this machine is ever since!
