This block will take any size knife. Which has allowed me to have larger knives at hand. Will hold sissors and small tools. Very easy to clean and takes up minimum room. Love it. Thanks.

After use the plastic 'straws' bend over prohibiting any knives from going in. I cut out the bent ones several times, a lengthy process, and it is good for a short time. It's getting tiring and annoying trying to keep up with this.

We have used ours for several years now and love it. It accepts all sizes of knives and we comfortably fit ten knives in it. Bamboo is easy to clean and just use a brush to sweep away crumbs from the top. My son loved ours, so sent him one for his birthday!

Fits any knife you could possibly have in your drawer. Easy to clean. I've had mine for 2 years and absolutely love it - just bought one for my older brother for Christmas. I would 100% recommend this to anybody who was looking for a great looking knife block.

If you are a serious cook, you likely have a collection of favorite knives that simply do not fit the normal wooden slots on commercial knife blocks. This tool is the answer to your dreams. I wish it were 4 inches longer more at an angle because my 18" Gude bread knife sticks out a bit. Nevertheless, it holds knife that size with no problem except the blade being exposed a bit. The little black rods work flawlessly to accommodate knives of any shape and length; but is best for knives 8" or shorter.

my husband loves kitchen knives and it made me crazy trying to find where each knife fits in the blocks. I bought one Kapoosh to store just my favorite knives. I love it. Unfortunately my husband loves it too. We will need two more. We've only been using it for a couple months so I can't address long term issues, if any, but in the short term I think it is great and highly recommend it. Just slide the knives into the block in any combination that suits your fancy. They are safe and secure and easy to remove when needed.

I gave away my wood block when I bought this about a year ago and now I'm out to buy another wood block.
The metal rods are bent and it's completely useless. i called the manufacturer to see if I could replace the inserts - you can't. They offered no suggestion as to why this wore out like this put suggested I cut the bent rods. Tried that didnt work- in the garbage.

I've had my Cutlery Block Kapoosh for over six years and it's worked great, that is until today when the side broke and several of my knives tumbled out onto the counter. I'm going to try some wood glue/clamps and try and repair it but to alleviate this problem, use a BB&B coupon and pay a little bit more $$ and purchase the stainless steel Kapoosh.

Nice idea and I was really looking forward to getting the loose knives out of my utensil drawer. Got it home, ran the insert thru the dishwasher. Let it dry. Put 6 knives in it, 4 steak, 1 vegetable and a bread knife. A couple of hours later, I heard a cracking noise. The wooden case had split down one side, top to bottom. While exchanging it, I inspected 4 of the items. All had cracks. I just got my money back.

Without a doubt this is a great product. I was a bit leery but all my expectations have been met. The block holds all nine of my expensive, special use knives which used to take up an entire drawer. They are secure, within easy reach and I don't have the worry of any damage. GREAT product!

I was really pleased with this product when I first started using it. It was great to have all my knives plus a couple utensils stored so conveniently. The knives slid in and out of the rods perfectly, and the removable rods were easy to clean (although they take a long time to dry.) HOWEVER-- over a period of about 12-18 months, inserting knives causes little cuts in the plastic rods. The knives later catch on the cuts, and bend the rods down into the block. Although I've tried, there is no way to stratighten or fix these. If you part the rods, the inside looks like snarled hair. So many bent rods are in the way, it takes several tries to get a knife in, but almost impossible to insert it all the way.. Last week, I cut my finger pulling a knife out because a nearby knife had two inches of the blade sticking out. It has really become unusable. I'm very disappointed, because it was so nice at first-- but this a "disposable" product, not durable as you would expect a knife block to be. I wouldn't recommend this unless you don't mind getting a new one about once a year. (They don't sell replacement rod inserts, you have to buy an entire unit...)

I bought one for myself and two for gifts. I love that I can put all my knives( from diff sets) and my kitchen shears in it! The dishwashing option is nice too. I also heard from the recipient of one of them. By the time I had left her and was home, she texted me with great excitement over this product!!!

I've had one of these for about 4 years, and while it's nice to be able to have a wide variety of knives in one block, I do have some complaints. Our large chef knives, carving knives, etc. do not fit well in this knife block and always stick out unless positioned exactly perfectly. Also, the little black rods get bent and trapped inside over time and also have started falling out. I think we need a new one, and I am going to try something else next time instead of buying another one of these.

I have had a Kapoosh Universal Cutlery Block for quite some time, and love it, When one of my best friends was buying a new house I knew just what to get her. She had commented that it seem very nice and didn't only hold a certain number of knives. She is thrill to have one also now.
