Ring spring holds roll securely in place so you can pull off one towel at a time without unraveling. Extra-strong mounting bracket is made of die-cast zinc for extra stability. GREAT, but you NEED to hang it crooked

I never write reviews, but realized the "fix" and wanted to share. This IS a great product, we absolutely LOVE IT, but the instructions are missing a very necessary tip.

After hanging the towel holder completely level, I also found the towels were actually higher on the right side. I quickly realized it was because of the quick connect "cap" that snaps into the right side. The towel roll is long enough that it just sits over the edge of the black knob. Because the knob is about 1/8 inch thick, this makes the towel roll lift up on the right side (once the knob is installed).

Try it. Put towels on the rack and unroll/pull them down level to the countertop. Now, insert the black knob (while keeping rack in exactly the same position). Voila! The towels no longer touch the countertop on the right side. This is because the whole roll was lifed up on the right side when the knob is inserted. This IS a really nice towel holder, they just need to instruct us to hang about 1/8 lower on the right side so towel roll will be level when in use.

I too mounted this and it looks crooked, I mounted it under the cabinet and no matter what I do with it it appears to be crooked. I'm glad I see I'm not the only one, I thought it was me. Other than that I like it.

This is great - I wish I bought it a long time ago. Mounted in less than 2 minutes with a drill. Screws were fine as far as the length goes - didn't come through the inside of the cabinet at all.

The quick release feature is great and when you rip off a sheet, it doesn't keep going like they do on a normal paper towel holder. I just bought one of these for my sister.

good towel holder, but difficult install

Product looks good but I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because the installation was more difficult than it needed to be. The package says it can be installed on walls or cabinets, but it only comes with wood mounting screws. This would be forgivable, except the screws are nearly an inch long -- who has cabinets that thick? Luckily I happened to have 3 shorter screws that fit.

I highly recommend the simplehuman wall mount paper towel holder. Installation was a bit challenging as we chose to hang it under the cabinets rather than on the wall. Once it was mounted the product is excellent. The paper towel roll stays firm when tearing off sheets, it does not unroll when you are at the end of the roll, and replacing the towels is easy. I would recommend this product and will in fact be buying another for my laundry room.

I recently purchased my second simplehuman Wall-mount Paper Towel Holder. This holder is the only one I can find that will attach different ways. I installed it in one bath the point of the holder pointing up. I has such a small space I couldn't install the way it is shown in the add. This time I installed one in the Kitchen and I installed it the way it is shown in the add. It works great. It is so strong I don't have to worry it will fall off the wall when we are not so gentle as we grab a paper towel. I think it is the best paper towel holder for the select a size paper towels. If I only need half a sheet this holder will easily let me grab half a sheet and not let the entire roll of paper towels unroll!! It is an excelent product. Thanks for keeping this product in stock. P/S It is worth the price, I got much more than I paid for.

I had tried a lot of stores trying to find a paper towel holder that did not have to sit on the counter top. The one I purchased from your company is a home run!! It is strong, has several mounting options and looks smart. I mounted it upright so it would fit in the only space I had in a small bathroom. Works like a charm. When I moved last year I left behind my paper towel holder. It was attractive but what a pain to change the towels!. So when I went shopping for a new holder, ease of use was my priority. This product did not disappoint....and it looks good too. My friend who hung it for me was so excited about the design "finally they got it right", that I went out and bought him one. He didn't have room to hang it horizontally in his kitchen so he hung it vertically and it still works great! I'm planning to buy another one for the office where I do volunteer work and I know they'll all love it. I never write reviews on purchases but have made an exception in this case because the folks who made this product deserve some praise....and besides, I want them to keep making this towel holder because it makes a great gift.
