I have a Polder board that I've owned for 4-5 years, and I love it. So, when I needed one at my 2nd house, I ordered this one. Well, it looks a lot the same, but it's so wobbly that I could never get any use out of it. When I read the negative reviews, I was skeptical. Well, folks, don't take the chance. Maybe, they put out a good one now and then, but it's clear that their current quality is much deteriorated from the past. I will find something else, and I suggest you do, as well. Sorry, Polder, but you're going downhill.

Extremely poor ironing board. Tipped over the first time I used it; have to use extreme caution. The pad is so thin that everyhing you iron shows the diamond pattern from the frame. I did research before purchasing (my old one finally wore out), and it appeared to be the sturdiest I could find. Not so.
Would return it if I still had the packaging.

Nice Solid Ironing Board

I purchased this ironing board after a bad experience with the rusty and rickety Real Simple Ironing board. What a piece of junk! I wrote a review about my experience and I am still upset. So when I returned to BBB to exchange the previous ironing board, I asked if I could open the packaging in the store to check it out more closely. The department manager was very accommodating. I liked what I saw, so I purchased it. I have used it twice since my purchase and it seems well built. Its sturdy and stands at a good height. I have ironed on a $20 ironing board for 20 years and I have occasionally ironed on a $100 ironing board, this ironing board is a great compromise. Honestly, I like this one more than my Mom's expensive ironing board. I just hope it last as long as hers. I think this is a good solid purchase.

I've owned this ironing board for several years and still love it. I don't agree at all with other reviewers about it being wobbly. I love the storage rack under it. I've recommended it to several people. The only thing negative is that it's hard to find replacements covers.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about...this ironing board is great! Very sturdy, has a rack to store my freshly ironed clothes, and a spot to hold my iron after use. Love it!

Horrible! There is so much wrong with this board that I wouldn't even want it if it was free. Very wobbly. The non skid feet slide on my wood parquet floors. The iron rack is cumbersome to actually store the iron there. It also is very precarious to balance the iron on it while ironing. The iron rack is also in the way of using the square end of the board to iron the shoulders of dress shirts. Releasing the lever to open it is fine but trying to close it is ridiculous. I felt like snoopy trying to open his lawn chair. the cover is insignificant and thin. Also, because of the iron rack attached to the side it makes it extra tall and difficult to store. The idea that that I paid for delivery and now the time to return it really is annoying. Do not buy this ironing board!

Don't waste your time having to take it back

Just purchased this ironing board today at the local BBB even after reading most of the reviews and noting some of the specifics regarding the quality. When i got in the checkout line I noticed the one i was about to buy had uneven legs so i took it back and sifted through at least 4 of them to find the most balanced looking one. Setup was pretty simple but one of the plastic tabs that hold the legs to the board snapped the first time I opened it. I also noticed the plastic on the handle used to extend it was even cracked. Also, just like another reviewer stated earlier the metal locking tab that hold the legs together when you fold it also bent the first time I used it. This thing is about as cheap and flimsy as a wet paper bag. Although I used it without issues and it did it's job- I mean it is just a board at the end of the day, I do plan on taking it back since I can't see it lasting very long at all.

The ratchet mechanism used to adjust the height of the board is made of extremely soft metal. The 1st time I folded it up, the metal bent out of shape making the board unusable. If you are shopping for an ironing board, look for something other than this one.

Bring back Quality please

I purchased this board on a Saturday to do my ironing. When I sat the board up, the legs were not stable, because they were not straight. One of the parts were missing to balance it as well. The pad was super thin. I took it back the very next day. They asked if I wanted a replacement? I asked, can you guarantee me a quality product, and is it better than the one I returned? They said no. So I said no. had I paid $10 for it, from a rumage sale, I would have kept it and made it work. But $59 for a new ironingboard that wasn't better than the one I threw out, is ridiculous! What a waste of shelf space in the store, when they could do so much better.

The Best of a Sorry Lot

After much searching this past month, I finally settled on this board. The frame is fairly well made and somewhat sturdy. The holster feature to hold the iron on the board when it is stored upright seems well-engineered, but I won't be using it. The iron holder is geared more for storage than for allowing the iron to rest solidly and securely while ironing. The package states, "100% Cotton Cover & Thick Fiber Pad". That is so NOT SO! The cover is poorly and cheaply sewn and the pad is extremely thin. I had to add an extra old pad AND cover underneath this pad and cover in order to get decent padding. It, sadly, seems to be the trend these days to equip new boards with thin, poorly-made covers so that the consumer immediately must go out and spend more $ to buy a better one. Thankfully, I save my old ones for just this purpose! Would I recommend this ironing board? Yes, with reservations. I would love to find an old-fashioned, sturdy, well-made board someday that doesn't cost $300+ . Until then, this will have to do.

I bought this board because I hate storing the iron separately from the
board and this works great! I iron everything once a week and this is a well
made and sturdy product .

Terrible ironing board

I seldom write reviews but just like the other review I made an account just so I could say what a awful purchase. Needless to say this board went back the next day. It is not well made and very wobbly. I could not get it level on the floor and the higher you made the ironing board the more wobbly it was. Every time you put a little pressure on the board it would bounce up and down. It is not worth the sixty bucks they are asking. I returned it for the wide board had to pay more than what I wanted and buy a cover to go with but I am very happy.

The green cover leaks all over you white clothes. The legs are noy level so the ironing board is unstable. Not recommended.
