When I found this paper towel holder at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I was looking for a brushed nickel one with a heavy base so it wouldn't slide all over my counter when I pulled off a sheet. This one fit my criteria but when I actually started using it, I fell in love with it! It looks and works great. I liked it so well, I bought another one for our winter home in Florida. The price is right and the product is wonderful! I am very pleased.

It works as described...amazingly easy to tear off whole sheets. Haven't figured out what the extra little round bar attached to the base is for; normally it guides the paper but it doesn't seem to matter which side of the bar the paper is on. Also I like that unlike an attached holder, it is movable!

I can't be any happier with this purchase. I had a paper towel holder that wasn't stronge enough, it always fell down when ripping the towels off. This holder rips a sheet at a time...doesn't fall down...all with just using one hand. LOVE IT!!

We've had this paper towel holder for 4 months now and, so far, it works great. Does just what it's supposed to do. We've used it with both regular sheets and select-a-size sheets. No complaints here and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

I also bought this holder and after a month or so, the clicking stopped and no longer gave you a "sheet at a time". I took the bottom apart and saw that the gear wheel was made of plastic and looked chewed by the gear. I will buy another similiar towel holder, but not this one. The concept was great, enjoyed it for a month, but doesn't hold up at all... disappointing.

Tried twice and am disappointed with this product. It operates by slowing down the unwinding of the paper towel roll so that you hear a clicking as it unwinds. If the unit was heavier, you might be able to tear off just a single paper towel with one hand, but, most often, you cannot. After a month or so of use, the friction component seems to disappear and there is no clicking sound - the roll just unrolls with no resistance from the unit.
I returned the product once and exchanged it for the same identical product to try it again (as I do like the design). After a few weeks, same problem.
I will now exchange this product for another holder that purports to do the same thing. It is $10 more costly than this one, but maybe it will not be as disappointing.

Good buy for $20, I'd recommend this product. I don't think I would call it the "Perfect Tear" paper towel holder because I always have to use both hands to tear off a towel and almost always get 2 or 3 towles and not just one...however this might be because of the paper towels I buy. This is a good product.

Absolutely the best paper towel holder we have ever used! After using ours for over a year, we bought one for my parents...they love it too! New rolls just slide onto the holder, and one handed dispensing of single towels (or multiple if desired) every time! This product is amazing. Ordering through Bed Bath and Beyond was fast and easy, and product arrived in just a few days!
