Nice on the inside but not on the outside

I recently purchased these blind for my livingroom windows that face the main road. The back of the blinds have light colored wood that is exposed to the outside.. I think it looks tacky. But love the look inside. One of the blinds broke and will need to be replaced hopefully this will not be an ongoing replacement. If so I may need to replace them all. FYI if you purchase the blinds in store for delivery you can use your coupons. Not online....

I love these bamboo shades I bought 2 of them in the smallest size for my 2 smaller windows facing the street in my living room and they finished off the look in my living room in such a sophisticated way they were exactly what I was looking for as far as decor & they do the job, they keep the light & loud noise out and deliver a beautiful ambiance in my living room they help create a calm & soothing surrounding, I am very satisfied oh and did I mention the convinience of it being cordless? It makes life so much easier, so all in all I love my bamboo shades!

Quickly Deteriorate

I purchased these and had them on three west facing windows. The sun deteriorated these shades within months. First the wood bleached, then the cords became brittle, dry and then snapped making these worthless, as I'm unable to open and close them. They are also total dust magnets and difficult to clean. Not recommended for those with allergies. As I took them down this morning, the wood was crumbling and filled with dust particles that are unable to be cleaned off. I do not recommend this product - Don't be swayed by the price. It's not cheaper in the end to have to re-buy shades when these fail. Lesson learned.

Gorgeous BUT....

We ordered eight blinds for our 'great' room and they really look fabulous. We have gotten many compliments. They seem to have some sound absorbing qualities and do a good job with privacy. The cordless feature is very nice. Hubby says they are easy to install. BUT, three of the eight blinds were broken upon delivery. We used a glue gun to fix two of the three. We returned the third blind, but the replacement that was delivered was broken as well. Back to the glue gun, hope it lasts.

love product - not the condition which it arrived

I love these blinds. I ordered 5 of them. However, 4 of the five arrived with mildew on them. I washed them down with a light bleach water and laid them on my deck to dry. It appeared they must have been stored in a damp warehouse as the shipping container was not wet or damaged. Even the box that held the brackets was damp. I did not want to go thru the hassle of returning them. If my light wipe down had not removed the mildew I would have had to. They are hung now and look great. You may want to check your warehousing situation.
