I love the toss and chop and buy it for a wedding/shower gift whenever needed. BUT - the spring wears out quite quickly if you use it a lot. Now trying to locate where I can get a replacement spring.

Works great - timesaver!

This item makes it possible to prepare a chopped salad all in one bowl. It does cut the salad into small pieces but that is what a chopped salad is! I find that my family is more likely to take salad if it is easier to eat! There is one flaw that I hope the manufacturer will address and that is that the spring wears out. I use mine almost daily though and still think its a great product!

I absolutely love this tool! I've tried many types of time-savers for chopping up my salad and this is BY FAR the best tool! Easy clean-up too! Easy to use (just be careful of blades). I am buying several more as Christmas gifts for my family!

This chopper has allowed me with economy of time and effort to create salads, meat for soups, cut up vegs and fruits and is easy to clean. It takes some strength to start using it but as an orthopaedic surgeon this actually is something that strengthens the hand beneficially . I strongly recommend this product even in a small kitchen. It is worth premier space.

My daughter bought me this for Christmas a few years ago (she got tired of watching her sister cut up my salad for me lol!). It works beautifully and it has SO many other uses. I chop up small amounts of nuts, sometimes use it in place of my pastry blender, dice up stewed tomatoes, etc. It doesn't take up much room and as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher it will last quite a long time.

Do you like small food?

This item is great and quick if your food is small enough to fit in the jaws to begin with. The jaws don't open particularly wide which means that if you have a large tomato (as we envisioned mostly using it for salad), you'll need to first cut the tomato in half.
This seemed rather odd to me since the purpose of this little guy is to cut stuff up without needing to break out the knives and cutting board. It seems a bit too focused and to make it a slam dunk for me, would have to be a touch bigger since even the smaller-than-average vine ripened tomatoes don't even fit without an initial cutting in half.
Verdict: Great if you have smaller foods you'd use this with - Really average if you don't - only a tiny bit better than a knife alone and probably not worth the extra drawer space.
