Customer Reviews for Roll-A-Lotion Body Lotion Applicator

Roll-A-Lotion Body Lotion Applicator

The Roll-A-Lotion Applicator is an easy way to apply lotion or bath gel on your back. Simply fill the reservoir with body lotion, suntan lotion, bath gel, massage oil and more, and the applicator glides over your skin and releases an even layer of product. It comes with 19 floating balls that soothe and massage your muscles gently, yet powerfully. The extra long handle lets you reach hard to reach places like your back to soothe sore muscles, and is great for even your ankles and feet. When finished, place the air tight cover over the head to keep the solution from drying out, and hang to conveniently store it out of the way. Measures 19 1/2" L x 4 3/4" W x 1 1/2" D.

I use it twice daily and have given several for gifts. The only way to conveniently apply lotion to your back to gain instant and lasting relief from whatever is irritating it.

A Great Find

Putting lotion on my back was impossible, and when it itched, my only choice was to use a back scratcher. I love the Roll-A-Lotion Applicator. I can now put lotion on my back, even itch cream. As I read in another review, it is best to use a thinner lotion, not a really thick one.

I originally bought this for my husband, but decided I had to have one for me as well. I even bought one to keep in CA at my daughters for when I visit.
Do need to replace every 18 to 24 months and does not work well with a thick lotion, but I LOVE it. Well worth the money!

The area where you put the lotion is not very big. You have to fill it up every day. The roller balls have a tendency to stratch your back while applying the lotion.

I bought this product while just looking around at BBB, I love it. My late husband was the best lotion applier anyone would ever want but don't want to look for another husband or partner to apply lotin to my back!. I live in the Midwest & my back was so dry in the Winter it drove me nuts, it's hard to put lotion on your entire back!. I figured the price was worth it if I had to buy another one every few months, I've had this product for about 5 months & no problems. Of course if you drop it chances are it will crack. Best inexpensive purchase ever made.

I need big help trying to get lotion on my very dry itchy back! BUT i just bought my 3rd one - the first 2 didn't last more than a few months, the cap doesn't screw on tight enough and when I do it cracks. I keep buying them though because i can't find anything similar!

This product was bought for my daughter. I have owned this product for years and it is the best. I have one that I use for the winter months with lotion and one that I use in the summer with sunscreen in it for those times when there isn't anyone to put sunscreen on my back for me. I highly recommend this product to anyone. Durable and a convenient size to put on a hook inside my bathroom vanity.

Good idea, poorly made

Not good with heavy lotions but other then that, it works until it breaks. The plastic is way to fragile and there are not nearly enough threads to screw on the cap securely. The plastic cap cracked while screwing it back on after a couple weeks. It was worthless after that. Such a great idea. Someone needs to improve this product.

I live in a state where the air is extremely dry and my back was always very dry and itchy. I saw this Roll on lotion applicator and gave it a try. I absolutely love it. I use it twice a day, morning after shower and night before bed. No more dry itchy back. It is very easy to use and works extremely well.

I am very confused by all of the negative reviews for this product. I needed something to help me put lotion on my back where I normally can't reach and this does the job. It should not be used as a massager, but it works great applying lotion. Maybe the reviewers who had problems with breakage were putting too much pressure on it - there is virtually no pressure needed to get the lotion to dispense.

Good idea gone bad

I've purchased several of these and they seem to have been made more cheaply each time. The rolling balls pop out easily; the container has sharp edges that scratch, and the container cap cracks easily. The lotion container needs to be permanently attached to the handle so it won't come off and break. Seemed like a good idea, but I definitely WON''T buy another one!

I really like this (I'm on my 2nd w/in 2 years). Sometimes I put the lotion in the compartment and sometimes, I just put the lotion on top of the balls and use it that way. If you drop the plastic cover, it will crack like nobody's business = don't like that part. Also, the version currently in stores - the hole in the handle has been made smaller so it no longer fits on the bathroom hook I used for my 1st one - o well = minor inconvenience.
I use this daily to put lotion on my back and I will continue to re-purchase

I received this gift from my nieces for mother's day. I tried convincing myself that is a good product because my nieces gave it to me as a gift. Bottom line is that this product is a waste of money. Don't accept even if they are giving it away! What's wrong with it? First of all, when I filled the cap with moisturizer and tried using two of the roller balls snapped out. I put them back and continued to use. Secondly, the roller scratches your back and in no way resembles a massage! Third, the unit falls apart when using. In other words the cap separates from the handle. If I could have applied a score of less than one star I would have, but I didn't have this option.

Update to my review of May 6

I purchased a new one to replace my 2 yr old roll-a-lotion that cracked. The new one is slightly cheaper made, but is still working with the same great quality of my previous roll-a-lotion. I use this product every day to apply lotion to my back and can't live without it. Not sure why others are having problems with theirs breaking but perhaps they are applying too much pressure when using. You don't have to press hard to get this to apply lotion to your body. DO NOT use this as a massager as product indicates it can be used (I'm sure that will make it break). Also I use Bath & Body Works body lotions in mine - do not use cream - it's too thick and won't work.

I purchased mine a little over 2 years ago. It's just now got a crack on the base so I'm going to buy a new one. I'm hopeful that the new is the same quality as the one I bought 2 years ago, but several of the reviews here make it sound as if the mfg has lowered their quality. You don't need to press very hard for this product to work, so maybe that's why others are breaking. Also you have to use lotion, not body creams as they are too thick. The fact that mine worked for 2+ years and only cost $10 is a good investment.

I bought 3 of these at Christmas time, 2010. I sent one to my sister back east, gave one to a girlfriend here and one for me. Well, mine broke within 3 weeks. I just found out that the one I gave my friend broke last week, first week of Aoril 2011. I haven't asked my sister if hers is holding up. This is a piece of garbage.

Roll-A-Lotion Body Lotion Applicator

Applies lotion to to those hard reach areas well as long as the lotion is not thick. BUT cheaply made and mine broke after 2 or 3 uses. Thin cheap plastic and not nearly enough threads to securely screw the lotion cap on. Duct tape held mine together for another month. This is a waste of money. Someone needs to make the quality version so I can buy it.

Great idea made out of cheap plastic

I am an occupational therapist and am always looking for products to help my patients. I have also used this product myself. I have actually purchased two of them only to have the same thing happen twice: The head is made out of cheap plastic that will not stay screwed on and in addition, the plastic cracked and broke and it spilled all over my bathroom floor. This is very unfortunate, as the product design itself is really great. Howeber, to have it break after using for a month or so (twice) says to me that the manufacturer needs to correct two flaws: the plastic on the head needs to be alot sturdier, and the screw-on mechanism needs to allow the user to secure it on the handle without it falling off. I would not buy another one. It is just a waste of money.
