Dirty, Dirty, Dirty

I was so excited to find this rug and went online to find another color and that's when I saw all the bad reviews. Unfortunately, they are right. This rug is GREAT to stand on but it does pick up every little speck of dirt! I've tried washing (makes it worse), vacuuming, and lint rolling. It looks terrible. I'm sorry to say that it is a waste of money. The good news- my dogs like to lay on it so I just gave it to them as an outdoor "bed". I would highly recommend trying another rug.

I purchased this rug for my new home. It is very comfortable to stand on, but that's it. It is impossible to keep clean. It collects all the lint, dirt in the kitchen and you can't get it out. I have tried everything to clean it, shake it, beat it, wash it, it just won't clean. I cringe everytime I walk in the kitchen.

Love the mats

The mats do exactly as designed collect debris, keep the floor clean, and soft to stand on. When the mat gets dirty, throw it in the washer and dryer and it comes out looking like new. I've had the rugs for over a year, washing a minimum of once a week...and still look new.

I love the mat and hate the way EVERYTHING sticks to it! Of course it would be the dog's favorite place to chew on his bones. I ended up making it his food mat. He is happy and I wish they used a different fabric!

These mats were a dream at first, then about 3 days in EVERYTHING sticks to them and I mean Everything. You can't get the little lint or dirt off ever. I have used everything and even tried to apply a protector to prevent it from looking so dirty. Great feel, AWFUL fabric

I was just checking these rugs out on Fri nite at BedBathandBeyond, they felt great! After reading all these comments, I'm not so sure I will ever buy one of these. Guess they need to do some more research on the material

On clearance for a reason

I purchased the blue one 6 months ago. I'm constantly standing at the kitchen sink washing baby bottles and loved the idea of the memory foam. The first time it got washed it came out of the washing machine with tons of lint stuck to it. Nothing was able to remove it. The mat constantly looks dirty and I'm now looking for a new replacement.

Waste of Money

My husband and I were furnishing a new home, and at first, loved these mats, so we bought nine of them, at $30 ea. They are awful. They don't wash up well. They come apart. Water gets trapped between the mat and the floor, so if you don't lift them up and wipe under them daily they can mold. Dirt, lint and any other particle tracked past gets stuck in them (and we do not wear shoes in the house, so if you do, its going to be worse). I vacuum every day and they don't stay clean. My Dyson could not get the lint unstuck. I had to pick grass and household traffic out of the mats, and they still looked bad. I have since thrown them all away. What a waste of money.

Please Read Before Purchasing!

I actually purchased these on clearance at Macy's (who incidentally no longer carries them, which should tell you something). We got them home, and within two days they were coated with lint, dog hair, human hair, straw, anything that happened to be floating around in the kitchen. I keep a very tidy kitchen, so I tried to clean them immediately.
When I tell you that I tried everything, I'm being honest. My husband and I used a Bissel, a lint brush, duck tape, washing machine, dryer, NOTHING works. Please, please, please, don't make the same mistake we did. It's something about the material on the surface - it feels great to walk on, but they look horrific. Also, if boiling water spills even a little bit on them, the fabric melts in these crazy black shapes. Gross.
We are now using them to line the dog's crate, which is luxurious for the pup, and they are exactly where they should be - under a dog's butt hole.

Everything clings to this rug. Cannot vacuum or sweep it off, you can only pick it off with your fingers. I washed it, it still looks the same. It is very soft and easy on your feet though.

Do not Buy

I was amazed when I saw all the complaints about these rugs. I purchased 5 of them, for my kitchen areas. Beautiful blue color. Like everyone says, they are terrible, inpossible to clean. I thought it was just my blue color, or that there must be a secret to cleaning them, that I don't know, so I got on line to write the company to see what I was doing wrong. The material threads are raising up like fuzz on a sweater. I went out and bought scotchguard to see if that would help but it didn't. So the rugs just cost me more money than the $150.00 I paid for the 5 of them..
I think they should be recalled. They are nice to look at, in the store, but a terible product to use in the home.

Horrible lint magnet

I received this mat for Christmas and while it is lovely and soft to stand on it is impossible to clean. Vacuuming, beating it outside, washing: none work. Even hand picking you can't get all the dirt off it. I've just found the receipt and will be taking this back. Very disappointed.

My daughter purchased the tan color of this mat and it felt really good to stand on. I purchased the dark brown color and have hated it since day one. It seems to be a magnet to any and all particles in the kitchen. It is impossible to clean. I have vacuumed it, used scotch tape, used a lint brush, picked off the particles by hand - nothing works. It is not cheap - so I expected a good product.

This is one of those products that makes you wonder if the manufacturer bothered to test it before releasing it to the public. I thought our mat was an anomaly, but after reading several other reviews, I saw that the majority of others had the same problem with lint and debris sticking to the mat. We use this mat in the kitchen, and no matter how hard we try to keep it clean, it attracts lint and other small debris like a giant lint brush. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it is also difficult to clean as you can not simply shake it out; vacuuming and washing also do little to remove anything from it. On the other hand, the next time I need to remove lint from one of my suits, I may pull out this mat and try to cover the whole suit with it so I can pull all the lint off at once. Might as well find some use for it, we wasted $30 and it is too late to take it back. Don't waste you money on this thing.

Although this mat is very comfortable to stand on, it leaves very little to desire on maintaing a clean appearance. After having them in my kitchen for over a month, I find them extremely difficult to keep clean. The fabric that was chosen to cover the mat attracts and holds everything, dust, hair, crumbs, etc. Even when I tried using a vacuum, particles were still very visible. The only solution is to wash them - which is not very convenient for the day to day use.

This rug feels good but, it's horrible to keep clean. Even after washing, it doesn't come clean. I just made the mistake of washing it with another rug and now my husband is outside picking off all the fuzz - going to get a rubber "anti-fatigue" mat!!

If I had only paid $10 for this rug, then I guess I couldn't complain, but at $30, don't waste your money! While it is very comfortable to stand on, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. Don't bother trying to shake it out, nothing comes off. Washing or vacuuming is only marginally better. You are supposed to be able to shake out a kitchen rug. Maybe the lighter colors are less of a problem (I bought the dark brown), but I doubt it. I'll be going back to the cheap kitchen rugs that I can shake out in between washings. My husband also finds it to be a tripping hazard. The reviewers who don't think this rug looks bad with stuff sticking to it all the time, man I would sure hate to see the rest of their house!
