I travel often for work, so I have slept on lots of different pillows, and this one is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST I have ever slept on!

I the first night was fine, but after that I woke up with horrible splitting headaches. I couldn't figure out what from, but I stopped sleeping on this pillow, and just like that the headaches stopped. It took me over a week to figure it out, but I'm so glad I finally did. This pillow is being returned ASAP.

Best neck pillow out there

I have tried and returned every pillow. This is by far the best. No smell at all?.. I did try to wash it after a year. Don't. Cannot be washed. Then took hours in the dryer to dry. Huge mess. Took it back to BBB no problem returning at all and I got an additional 20 percent off with coupon. It says not to wash the cover but I have never had a problem. Now I double cover it as I like to wash my cover each week. 15 year warranty so any probs just return it. I have had ACDF neck surgery and this works great even with a neck color. Get one!

I have also purchased various foam pillows throughout the years. This pillow is by far my favorite.

I personally have never noticed an odor from this item. It could have been a previous issue that has since been corrected.

I am purchasing this item as a gift for every friend and family member on my 2012 Christmas list. I am confident they will be thanking me throughout the year. It is that good!

Purchased this last week. Aired it out for 4 days and used it that night. Worst smell ever. That night I had nightmares and woke up with a headache and the smell was still on my bed and in my bedroom. Will be taking back. Don't even bother to buy this pillow.

Stinks so bad no matter what you do

Stinks no matter what you do. Airing it didn't work, putting it in the dryer with dryer sheet didn't work so i washed it in the bathtub with a little low sudsing Tide and Fabreez to kill the smell. Don't try that at home folks! It's a HUGE mess, you hang the wet pillow filled with water upsidedown and the water won't drip, weird!. After much effort and leaving it ouside in 100 degree heat for a week it still had moisture inside and it STILL smelled like the stink it came with. Took it Back, Thank God for BBB's great return policy!

This pillow stinks to high heaven. I am worried about potential health hazzards of anything that comes out of the package smelling like this. Yes, the smell goes away with with time. But the Chinese workers who manufactured this product may be at risk from exposure to strong chemicals - there are few safeguards for workers in that country. It is an incredibly comfortable pillow and I will not return it because we live way out in the sticks - itis too much trouble to return it. It works for my neck issues but I would not buy it again.

I have had a memory foam pillow for the last 7-8 years. I think most of them smell - the first one I had smelled like latex, it was awful, but after a while the smell disappears. I was worried this one would smell the same, but it was much more bearable and dissipated within the first week. It no longer has any type of smell. It is so comfortable. I never thought any pillow would replace the one I had grown to love for so long, but with this pillow? Out with the old and in with the new. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend likes to try and hog my pillow and I don't want to share, therefore, I am purchasing another one this evening.

The Perfect Pillow

I purchased the contour pillow about a year ago and have to say it was a phenomenal choice. I experienced no issues with strong scents as mentioned by another review. The firmness is exactly as it was when I purchased it. Whether I sleep on my back or side, this pillow supports the head and neck perfectly and I sleep soundly through the night. If only Bed Bath and Beyond made entire mattresses for cheaper than Tempurpedic...

Great Pillow for Side Sleepers

I bought this pillow about 8 months ago after years of trying to find the right one. I have been really pleased with it. My neck pain is greatly reduced and it still provides the same support as the first day I bought it. I think it has the perfect firmness, not too soft or too hard (like many of the foam pillows I've tried). Unlike the review above, the pillow did have a strong smell initially but it went away within three days or so. I'm going to buy one for my boyfriend because he keeps stealing mine when I get out of bed in the morning!

great for neck

I have tried many pillows for my sore neck. They are usually too high for me. What has felt best for sleeping until my lastest purchase is to taks a rather soft, worn down pilllow and doulble over the end of it and scrunch it under my neck. Recently I had a painful stiff neckache that woudn't allow me to turn my nead from either direction when sitting or standing. I know it was time to look into a good memory foam pillow, depite the high cost. After some research and reading reviews I decided on this one. It works great on my neck. No more pain and I can sleep on my side with it. It's quite heavy, which surprised me. But a word of warning: it really smells...like wet hay. It's been 3 weeks and I can still smell it, though not as strong. I spray it down with Febreze every morning and leave it where the air can get to both sides. Then at night I put a fresh pillow case on it. The smell is worth the comfort, and I haven't had a neckache since using it.

For years I have struggled with pillows. I never know whether to buy the firm, soft, side sleeper, gusseted, etc. Every pillow I tried out I found something wrong with it within a few days. My closet is stockpiled with barely used pillows. However I was always wary to spend a lot on a pillow since I was afraid that it was just going to let me down, as always. I finally got fed up and splurged for this one, and I am SO glad that I did. I bought the side sleeper pillow about 2 months ago, and I have been sleeping wonderfully ever since! No neck or back pain! I am glad I bought this one over the horrendously expensive Tempur Cloud pillow, which seems a bit brickish. The Therapedic is a memory foam type pillow, but is very lightweight and breathable. The pillow is in the same exact condition as when I bought it two months ago. I also tend to shift a lot in my sleep and do not wake up anymore when moving my head. This pillow is labeled a side sleeper, but it has pretty much allowed me to sleep comfortably in any position! I will never have to throw my money away on a useless cheap pillow again.
