Definitely Get It!

After much research, I selected this cookware as a Christmas present from my husband and could not be happier with its performance. After three months of heavy use, I am ready to use the Bar Keeper's Friend that I purchased with it as recommended. I've used it on both induction and gas stoves and have really enjoyed the way it cooks my varied dishes. I absolutely love the large saute pan as I feel like a real chef when preparing a dish with it! I find that if I cook on a lower heat setting versus high, the food prepares really well. I only wish I had gotten it years ago instead of going through several sets that have ended up in the recycle bin! This set offers five star cooking for a great price!

Excellent cookware but handle design is poor

I bought this set a couple of months ago for my new induction cooktop. Cooking performance is excellent, especially if you read and follow the directions, and in general I am very pleased. I've had no problems whatever with burned or sticking food, and cleanup is easy. My one concern is the shape of the handles. They are very narrow, and if a pan is full, often it will start to tilt. I've had this happen a couple of times and once dumped a whole pot of boiling chickpeas. It's unfortunate because with a better handle design, I would certainly give this set five stars.

Excellent cookware

For the past two years I have used an awful set of stainless steel cookware with a disk bottom that someone gave me when they got new cookware. About six months ago I tried a piece from the Unison line, the large "everyday" pan, because of the versatility and reasonable price. It warped the first time I used it. I returned it thinking that I would never try Calphalon again. This past weekend I really wanted to purchase a set of All-Clad but decided I would spend less and try Calphalon's Tri-Ply since BB&B has an excellent return policy ... As of now, I have no plans to return this cookware! I am a picky consumer and I am very satisfied. People who are whining about the burning eggs must not know how to cook eggs because cooking eggs is my culinary weakness and I did not have burning or sticking when I cooked eggs this morning. I'm assuming the warping of the Unison piece was fluke. I received the same piece as a bonus but have not used it yet.
Cleaning tip: I learned with my old cookware to only use the LIQUID Bar Keeper's Friend on cookware with a mirror finish. You'll get a much better result than with the powder.

Do not by for a ceramic cooktop

I had my kitchen remodeled and got an induction cooktop. Caused me to have to buy new cookware in a hurry. Bought the Calphalon Tri-Ply. Was pretty happy at first. But after a few uses of the larger pieces the bottoms bowed. They still work, since it is a induction cooktop, but for the price this is very disappointing. Plus it is anoying when the pan turns every time you try to turn some thing with 2 spatulas.

I received this product a year ago for christmas. I can honestly say that this is the best cookware that I have ever owned or used for that matter. My husband was worried about food sticking, but this has not been an issue. The whole family is getting into cooking now, and I no longer need to be ashamed of flaking pans , when friends and family come over for diner. I now own the Cookware, Cutlery, Crockpot, and lots of gadgets. I think my next wish list is for the indoor grill.

Completely Ecstatic!!! Best Cookware out there!

So completely happy with my new cookware. I have had non-stick restaurant quality cookware all of my life and it always ended up flaking and scratched up and usually lost all its non-stick ability. I decided that I wanted some cookware that was not non-stick even if I had to learn to cook differently. Well, to my surprise food doesn't stick on this cookware better than my non-stick cookware. Trick to making this happen is follow the care instructions: use medium heat, a little oil or butter (which I used anyway on my non-stick) and let the food release when it is ready. I made 2 scrambled eggs with a tiny bit of butter wiped on the surface of the pan and nothing stuck. I could literally wipe it out with a paper towel. I haven't put them in the dishwasher yet because the clean up is so easy. I do plan on getting some Bon-ami or Bar Keeper's Friend as the care instructions suggest just for deep cleaning when oil gets stuck on from longer cooking times and oven use. Oh, and I cooked the scrambled eggs with a big ol' METAL spoon and didn't even flinch! Love it! The pans are heavy but not too heavy. The glass lids are awesome because the handles are cool to touch and see-through. This set comes with plenty of lids too. Very good quality and quantity for the price especially when you use the 20% off coupon. Yay!!!! Love it and recommend these to every cook!

Love these

These pots and pans heat very evenly and cook well. If you're used to using nonstick, you do have to adjust to using a lower heat setting, putting in some oil, and waiting until it's up to temp before putting in food. These still look great, even though you're not shelling out the extra bucks for the "Contemporary" design of the other model. They do show normal coloring on the inside from use, but can be cleaned up with Bar Keeper's Friend. And I always dry them by hand to prevent water spots showing on the nice outside mirror finish.
