This product makes great cookies. Very easy to make. I used chopsticks to take the cookies from the hot pizzellle maker. The chopsticks doesn't scratch the surface. Again it's real easy and the cookies are delicious!!!!

Purchased 2 weeks ago and made first batch of cookies 3 days ago. Everything worked well until I prepared batch 3 today and the clip that holds the machine shut looks as if it melted and cracked. How can something like this be made of poor materials? or is this product something that was refurbished? Not happy and waiting for response from company.

I currently own 8 of these cookie presses. And start making the cookies just after Thanksgiving. On average I press approximately between 5,000 to 6,000 cookies of different flavors for customers who start ordering in October. I have not had a clip break or an element go bad. I love them and just bought one for my mother for Christmas so that I do not have to let her borrow one of mine.

Had to order this as it was not in stock at my BBB. It arrived within a week. I have made 3 batches of Pizzelle so far. The machine works like a charm. So easy. Just followed the recipes in the Cuisinart instruction booklet. Everyone is crazy about these cookies. I used a can of cooking spray and did not have any sticking problems. Love being able to make cookies without turning on the oven in summer.

I'm actually on this site today to order this iron as a gift because I love mine so much. I too have used my pizzelle iron on countless occasions over the last 4 years, all year round and have had no problems with it. The latch still works great, it still heats evenly and makes delicious pizzelles. I definitely recommend this maker!

I have used this pizzelle press a few times. Some things I really like about it is the different heat settings, light that allows you to know when pizzelle is done, cannoli rolling pin & spoon server. I am just nervous with the clip that holds the pizzelle press shut when heating and also not in use. It has held up the few times I have used it but I feel it will eventually break on me.

I don't know what these other people were doing to their irons, but I have used my Cuisinart Pizelle Iron multiple, multiple times over the past two years (just last night, in fact) and have never had it break, snap, crack or fail. I use this product MUCH more frequently than just at Christmas, and maybe that is what makes the difference. If is gets stuck away in the cold attic or something, I could understand it breaking. I've made pizelles and cannolis of all flavors, I've tried every variation in the recipe book that came with it, and I love them all. It cleans very easily, with the exception of the recipes calling for chocolate in the batter, I recommend a cocoa powder for chocolate cookies, as chopped chocolate was hard to clean away. My mother has a 4-cookie iron, and I kinda wish I had one like that too, but only to speed along the process; two cookies at a time is a little slow. I wanted to plug for this product after seeing the complaints. I love it and have gotten MORE than my money's worth out of it! Not only do I recommend it, I am literally about to purchase a second one as a birthday gift for a friend!

Breaks EASILY

I had read previous reviews concerning the flimsy clip that holds the cover down as the pizzelle cooks. SO, I assumed that these reviewers may have been a little rough or over-zealous in handling the machine. I was very gentle with it, and after about the fourth time using the machine, the clip broke. I couldn't believe it. The plastic has to be flexible, yet strong enough to withstand the heat of the machine and the constant opening/closing. I was very disappointed and will be returning it for another, and will continue to buy and return it as I do not want to pay to ship the press out to Cuisinart and wait to have it repaired. Bummer.

I am in love with this. And I made them for my grandchildren and they loved them too. In fact, my daughter is running right out today to get one too. Great job. I can hardly wait to make another batch. I sandwiched two cookies together with carmel and/or chocolate. They were delicious with a little powdered sugar on top.

Worse purchase Ever

I purchased a Cuisinart Pizzelle Press exactly three years and thirteen days ago, there being a limited three year warranty. I used it for the Christmas holiday of 2007, 2008 and 2009, for a total of six batches of cookies made with the recipe included with the machine. This year I made one batch and had just started the second batch when the machine quit! This is with grandchildren poised to help make the cookies! I do not recommend a Cuisinart Pizzelle Press that only makes seven batches of cookies before the heating element breaks. Also, when I called customer service just inquiring if I could 1. get it repaired (I realized I was 13 days beyond the warranty) or 2. be referred to a local repair store, the customer service representative stated they neither repaired the item nor knew of any service representative. I am stuck with a broken appliance that only made seven batches of cookies! For obvious reasons, I would not buy ANY Cuisinart product.

I am very satisfied with pizzelle maker because it came out very good. The knob allows me to control the lightness and darkness of the pizzelle maker but you have to be judge on how brown the pizzelle get regardless on ready light. Cusinart is a very good brand!
