Researched many stores for various reviews - so glad we decided on this model. Provided perfect ice for 50 kids at a 5 year old's circus themed party! Produced enough ice for at least 6 snow cones at a time. Adults enjoyed the snow cones also! Used jelly belly syrup in all flavors. Add a magician and cotton candy - circus without the animals!!

I bought this in 2012 and we had a carnival for my grandson and my daughters friends children, We had popcorn, hot dogs and all the usual suspects, and had games where they could win prizes, we will do this until everyone gets tired of it, this product was the biggest hit with the old and young. I would tell everyone to buy this.

A snow cone machine was the #1 thing on our four year old's Christmas list. We found this version, much cuter than the cheap one he saw in the toy catalog, and it definitely lives up to its five star reviews. Our entire family enjoys it, and I'm sure we will use it even more during the hot summer. It makes really great snow cone ice, and it's extremely easy to use and clean. It's cute enough to leave out on your counter if you want; it has a fun, nostalgic look to it.

We fell in love with shaved ice out at the lake this summer, I have been searching for a way to make the same treat at home. I bought this a month ago and we use it almost every day. Its so safe and simple that even my 9 year old can use it. The ice looks like snow when it first comes out, one suggestion, keep your flavors in the fridge, if the liquid is to warm the ice tends to stick together and loses that snow effect. Their is a great kool-aid recipe for flavors on line that is cheaper then buying the flavors pre made. You can also use juice or soda but it comes out more like a slushy.

This snow cone maker is an amazing addition to any household! After unpacking and unwrapping, very minimal assembly is required. We were out of the box, loading with ice and enjoying snow cones within 15 minutes. Very simple operation; load the top with ice cubes, lock the top in place, (which starts the shaver), and watch finely shaved iced start "snowing" into the holding space. The motor is a little loud, but not so much that it is a bother. It only takes a few minutes to shave all the ice you put into the top, and a full load of ice will make three snow cones before you need to reload. I've used it several times now; most recently at a large birthday party, and am very impressed with it. This product has exceeded my expectations with its durability, ease of use, and, decorative attractiveness; but most of all, it's really fun to use!

I totally recommend this machine. We love it and my 4 kids do, too. It makes a lot of sno cones and quickly. It could be used for a small party situation but probably not selling them at a school event or anything like that. It makes perfect shaved ice for the flavoring. I love, love this machine. It is a great machine to have for summer fun. It would be a great gift for families with children. They will love and remember you every time they use it. You will not regret this purchase. Very safe. My 7year old can operate it without a problem. The machine will not turn on until blade cover is in place. We leave it on the kitchen counter so we remember to use it. My son loves preparing snow cones for his guests. This also makes a great gift for children with food allergies because it's just ice and whatever flavoring they like!

I bought this machine for my son's birthday party a few weeks ago, and it performed PERFECTLY!!! I ordered the Monday before the party (on Saturday) and it arrived on Thursday with 2-3 day shipping. The texture of the ice is not quite "snowy" but good enough for $30! One cup (not measuring cup, the cup that holds the ice at the top) makes about 3-4 decent sized sno cones. I did two cycles of shaving and then "assembled" the sno cones to let the machine rest. Be sure to let your ice sit out for a bit (until it's clear but not too watery) to keep from breaking the blades - per the instructions. We've used it 3 or 4 times since the party, just for us, and it's still working wonderfully! As long as you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS (i.e. let the ice sit, don't run machine for more than 5 minutes, etc), you will not be disappointed with this purchse!

I wanted to surprise my kids with something fun for the summer. This did the job. Works great! A few things to point out: instructions say only to be used indoors. It can make a mess when trying to scoop the shaved ice into the snow cone cup (but it's only water). Also, syrups & cone cups need to be purchased separately, but this does come with two standing plastic cone cups. I purchased syrups & cups from walmart through Amazon. The kids really enjoyed this! And who doesn't love a snow cone!

This works really well for such a small machine. I wasn't expecting much for the price or the size. I was really surprised when I used it. Just a little ice makes plenty of cones, and the clean up is effortless. This is a hit at family gatherings.
