false advertising

On the box, this says its a Surge strip, giving buyers the false impression this is a "surge protector". We bought the package. The on/off activity lights on the strip and wall outlet flicker and do not work. Upon repackaging the unit, I discovered on the back of the box indicates this is not a "surge protector". While they did indicate in small print on the back, I feel deceived. I'll think twice about buying westinghouse products again.

the 3 outlet wall tap and the extension cord are fine, but 6 outlet power strip is poorly designed. I received 2 from my wedding registry and both power strips were way too tight. Trying to put the extension cord plug into the power strip was impossible. It got stuck and would not go in all the way (to any of the power strip outlets). That's odd considering that both were in the same pack. I tried other appliances in the power strip and they got stuck and wouldn't go in fully either. My husband had to take the power strip apart and use a screwdriver to widen the prongs inside so that a plug could fully fit in. Not worth the trouble. Buy another one.

Got this for my daughter at college. The surge strip is fine, but the two-prong extension cord is pointless since everything else about it is three-prong. Just buy a regular surge strip without the extras thrown in.
