Got this in 2008for a wedding gift. I use it almost every day. Just finally broke...the plastic clip to hold the one piece on broke. I bought the slap chop as a back up and hate it. Doesn't work well and is awful to get clean. Food gets stuck. I am going to trash it and get another one of these

Buy Pampered Chef Instead

I bought one of these because my mama has one from Pampered Chef. This one is pretty horrible. The pieces do not come apart easily. It does not chop well, and the item I would chop gets stuck on the blades. Waste of Money.

This little inexpensive device is probably my favorite wedding gift! I put tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos in almost everything I cook, so I use my chopper almost everyday! Clean up only takes about 2 minutes. I wash it by hand so it is always ready for me to use the next day. Cuts great and is very handy!

Quick & easy chopping help for smaller jobs like onions & celery for tuna salad. Ulinke the other reviewer, I find it simple to clean (de/re-assemble) & that it stays together during use. Just make sure it is threaded right when you screw it back together. Have owned mine for 5+ years & use it all the time. I have owned other brands over the years, this Zyliss is by far the best one & best price to boot! This purchase is going to live at my daughter's house!

Chops well but...

We don't use this very often and this is why: it chops well but is fussy to clean - you have to take it apart and clean etc. It's then tricky to put back together again and even now I dont think ours is together right even though we've tried many times to fit that plastic part back in, it still falls out.
It chops well though so do recommend it for that. We use it to chop nuts, or vegetables. Does small quantities at once and makes a bit noise but worth it to get that fine cut.
I wouldn't bother with this unless you do alot of fine chopping in smaller quantities
