Customer Reviews for Copco Copco Fusion Tea Kettle

Copco Copco Fusion Tea Kettle

The enamel-on-steel bottom half of this tea kettle reduces boiling time, while the 18/10 stainless steel top half simplifies pouring. The whistle is built right into the lid so you can pour your boiling water without removing the whistle cap or opening the spout. Die cast handle is not only stylish but has a comfortable grip. 2 1/2 quart capacity.

Needs good cleaning on the inside before 1st use

I bought this kettle 3 years ago. Before using it for the first time, I discovered there were quite a bit of metal chips inside the kettle left from the manufacturer (that's why a few reviewers said metal disintegrated, but it's not). And some reviewers said they had trouble to pour the water out from the kettle. This kettle has a metal ball inside the pouring apparatus. The metal ball's function is to make the kettle to whistle when boiling. The metal ball moves around and may block water from coming out freely when pouring. You can shake it lightly or pouring the water out quickly to dislodge the metal ball from blocking the plate with holes for water to come out.

Very stylish kettle... architectural even... BUT it doesn't whistle and pours out as slow as molasses.
Returning it tomorrow.

After purchasing a Cuisinart electric tea kettle for my mother that broke after 3 uses, I told her to shop for and pick out the kettle she really wanted. She landed on this one about six months ago. She uses it 3 times daily. Hers does whistle, starts out softly and gets progressively louder. Some complaints by other users of this kettle are that the handle doesn't move and that they have noticed some corrosion. The handle of a tea kettle is better left fixed in one location. If it tilted during a pour, you could get burned by scalding water or the side of the kettle! The directions that come with the kettle also instruct users not to boil water on high. It takes an extra minute or two to come to a boil, but may cut back on your corroding kettles??
As far as looks go, it's a lovely piece and I will be purchasing one for my home as well for when Mom comes to visit!

Lovely to look at, but....

Lovely to look at, not so delightful to pick up and pour. The kettle heats fast and whistles loud enough to wake the neighbors. But it is difficult for me to pour from it. I have to grasp it below the covered handle and support it from the bottom to get the water out. Sometimes the water fill lid leaks. It sure is a nice looking pot, though.

Bought this kettle last week and would love the maker to give me a hint when the water has reached boiling point because the 'supposed whistle' to alert me is absent.
Item is not built for purpose. I paid money for an item which is faulty.
In plain words the marketing is telling lies.

I purchased this kettle for my parent's. After just a few months they told me that the "filter" in the spout that allows the whistle to whistle and the tea to pour through, had started to disintegrate. I don't like to drink metal chips, how about you?

fusion tea kettle

Just purchased this tea kettle, because I really liked the design. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. You have to really tip the kettle to pour, and it trickles out. The handle gets hot, and you have to use a pot holder to lift it. The water could be boiling, but you would not know it unless you saw the steam coming out. Whistle is useless. $40.00 is not cheap for a tea kettle. I'm disappointed that Bath, Bed and Beyond would sell this.

We bought this tea kettle, took it home and proceeded to wash it out. While washing the lid, the black plastic ring on the handle fell off and won't go back on, so we have to take it back to the store...we will look for something different.

I have owned this tea kettle for about 3+ years. I have always liked it despite the fact that it is very difficult to clean inside. I use it every day and it is always full of water. Today I wanted to clean the inside of it and I noticed that the enamel (or whatever it is) inside is damaged and started to rust. The kettle was never physically abused, so the damage could only be due to high temperature and constant use. Anyway, I am very disappointed. I have just one tea kettle and I can’t use it anymore, and something tells me that I won’t find a decent replacement for some time.

Worst Tea Kettle Ever

You have to practically hang upside down from the ceiling to get the water out of this kettle. I have never been able to do it without burning myself. Also, we just looked inside the kettle and saw the teflon-esque bottom was corroding and there were little bits of metal in our tea for who-knows-how long. I am dissapointed with Bed, Bath and Beyond for carrying a product that not only doesn't work, but could actually be harming their customers. For shame!

This Fusion kettle is unique and modern. Looks beautiful on a trivet on my stove. Receive many complements on it, everyone always asks where they can buy it. The unique two-tone coloring is the best part of it. Somewhat hard to pour~but sometimes you must sacrifice function for form.

Bought this tea kettle last night. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. The handle doesn't move. The kettle was designed badly. The pour spout is positioned too high. When you pour, you have to practically turn the kettle up-side down to get the water out. If you achieve this , the water TRICKLES out the spout. That's it, wish it was designed better, it's a beauty. Unfortunately that's all it is.!.

I've had this tea kettle for almost 4 years, and it still works and looks just as good as the day I recieved it as a bridal shower gift. I chose it for the color: something between black and gunmetal. Cleaning is very simple, I usually put it upside down on the bottom rack of the dishwasher and the lid on the top.
My only complaint is that the handle is too hot when the water is done boiling, so I always have to use a folded kitchen towel over it when pouring.

This looks great on my stainless stove! The enamel is easy to clean, and the large handle stays cool to the touch. The whistle which is in the cap is pleasant sounding. I will buy another one for my mother this christmas.
