I have fibromyalgia and really needed to find something to put on top of my bed to provide me more comfortable sleep. According to the picture on the box, and honestly the price tag, I assumed this was a high quality product. Things a potential buyer should be aware of: 1) This product is "vacuum sealed" meaning the foam has been super smushed into an extremely tight plastic wrapped roll, and apparently for years considering the tag said it was made two years ago. 2) You are expected to just take off the plastic and set the smushed foam bundle on a flat surface for up to 24 hours, where it should unroll and unfold itself and fluff up to the 3 inches. 3) After 48 hours, my topper had unrolled and unfolded, but the foam was still completely smushed, and had big ridges where it had been rolled and folded. It was also waaaay smaller than my full size bed. 4) This product seems way overpriced for what you get. Nothing about it is "deluxe" and it seems too much of a risk to cross your fingers and hope you didn't get a dud. Plus, the way it is packaged, I doubt if the topper could ever get to the way it is described. 5) The 3", if they ever do appear, is mostly from the padded lining of the quilted cover that comes with the topper, which are not memory foam. The memory foam that the cover goes around is very hard and inflexible.

I went to Target and purchased a Threshold 2" pure memory foam mattress topper. It unrolled, unfolded, and within 20 minutes my bed was completely made and super comfortable!

This topper is amazing. My husband hasn't been able to lay on his left side for years due to a shoulder injury, no longer a problem. I had a back injury and used to wake up every morning very stiff & sore, not now! There is a slight odor when you first get it. Lasts a few days. I actually cover my mattress with a fitted sheet & have a fitted sheet directly on the topper, so it's never an issue with sliding or making the bed. It seemed a little pricey, but it is SO worth it! I used to use feather beds, and thought I loved those - never again!! This will always be my choice!!

Bought this about a month ago. There was absolutely no odor when removed from package. It puffed up within 12 hours of laying flat. Very comfortable, I can lay on my right side which I have not been able to do since back surgery 2 years ago. Envelopes you...really holds body heat. Love it.

my wife purchase this to help w/ back pain. we own a very highend handmade mattress which is very firm. we thought this would help w/ back pain, but it made it worse. we owned a memory foam mattress in the past and had to give it away . they even replaced it one time. i will never purchase anything made of memory foam agian, pure garbage

I love this mattress topper, the only problem I have with it is an issue with the mattress top sliding around on my bed. Almost every day I have to move it back up to the top of my bed... which includes untucking the sheets, standing at the head of the bed, and pulling it towards the top of the bed. Not sure why it slides? I even put something under it to reduce sliding, however, it just ended up sliding too or rolling up under the pad. Maybe there's a weight limit? lol I don't know. Other than the sliding part, I love it. I have even had three herniated disc surgeries, and I don't have any problems sleeping on it. If you're wanting to upgrade your mattress, without the commitment of a new one, this is a great band-aide til you get a new one.

Yes the 1st night I slept on this my hip pain is gone. This did the job in upgrading my bed w/ out spending thousands on a memory foam mattress. I own a Temprapedic but recently moved so now I'm using our guest bed for awhile but the springs torture me. The store had samples and I was able to put them on the floor then kneel on them to feel which one was the best. Comfort and quaility was the goal not the price tag. I slept better as well which another bonus from this topper! OH- I used a store coupon and saved $60.00.

We purchased both this and another brand of premium memory foam mattress topper that was $100 more than this one, knowing that we'd return the loser to the store. We tried out each for at least a week and this was the winner. It felt more dense and of higher quality. It provided more memory foam-like support and the best is that it's $100 less than the competitor.
The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is because it's still a bit pricey at $250 (a genuine Tempurpedic Simplicity mattress is around $1100) and it required a full 48 hours of expansion time before first use.
There was little to no "foam smell" as others have claimed and we hope this product to last at least 10 years.

Terrible. When I first got this a year ago, it was wonderful. Now, however, there are permanent lumps and hollows! So much for memory foam and bounce back!
Do not buy this, you will eventually need to replace this and at this price, it should last a LOT longer!

We purchased a Therapedic grand 3 memory foam topper about a month ago. My husband & I were always walking up with a sore neck, back, etc. Since we put the topper on our bed we are both sleeping better than we ever have before. No more neck and back aches. It's the best money I've ever spent and it's a lot less expensive than buying a new mattress. I highly recommend.

The first one I bought never fully expanded to full size most likely from being shrink wrapped for an excessive amount of time. I returned it to the store and exchanged it for another. The topper reached full capacity in less than 24 hours as described on the box. Product well worth it, but beware that you may have to exchange for one that will inflate. This topper is plush and has brought my matress back to life!

I bought a 3 inches Luxury Quilted Memory Foam Mattress Topper, queen size, on Jan 24, 2012 from Bed Bath & Beyond in Athens. After I opened the box, the topper expanded to its specified thickness within a few hours, First, I smell some special odor on the first night, then on next day I used a fan to blow the odor away for a few hours (this is the key to quickly remove the odor.). The odor was almost gone, I cannot tell if there was a odorous smell after that. Under the topper, I have a firm bed. I feel very good every night when I sleep on it, it has given me a superior 8 hours of sleep in the night. Besides, the topper is wrapped by a pretty soft-designed cover which makes me feel comfortable in the first place.
This is my first topper and I like it very much. In addition, the salesman at the store was very helpful to help me quickly find the right topper I wanted. Thank you.

I received this topper for Christmas and only half of it "inflated" over a two week period. I returned it for a replacement and the second one stayed completely flat ...am now on my third replacement and it it's doing the same exact thing! I looked at the tag on the topper and it said it was made in 2010...I am assuming this has been in shrink wrap since then! Shrink wrapping will destroy memory foam over extended periods of time. I will be returning this topper tomorrow...I give up.

Having bought a Temperpedic bed for my son, I couldn't afford to get one for me. So, I got the King size Therapedic Grand 3". I LOVE it. I sleep so much better with it, and go to sleep faster and wake more refreshed. Also, even my chiropractor noticed that I'm not having any of the problems i used to have. My son slept in my bed while I was away and liked it even better than his Temperpedic mattress.
I highly recommend it.

If you are sleeping on this super soft plush topper, you will absolute sink i comfort, however if you are married or have someone else in the bed with you, they are sunk in on the other side with a well built up between you. It makes cuddling and actually just watching tv together very difficult

I have had my topper for one week and the ridges do not come out. I feel like I've been sleeping on speed bumbs. I don't notice the smell other reviewers have mentioned though. I bought the deluxe one with the quilted cover, maybe thats why it doesn't stink. It is helping with pressure point pain and if the ridges ever flatten out I might get a pretty good nights sleep. If they don't I'm bringing it back.

I purchased this mattress topper as a display model, thinking that any smell it would have had should have dissipated. But no, I could not spend more than one night on this thing without the obnoxious smell overtaking me! It was terrible! And what's worse, it has been two weeks since I returned it and I STILL can't get the smell out of my bed (and it was only on my bed for one day). Immediately after removing the mattress topper, I tried scrubbing my bed with a hot water and Tide solution, I've blown fans on my bed all day and even tried flipping the bed over but STILL, that obnoxious smell remains. I'm so upset with this purchase, I think BB&B owes me a new bed! I just can't believe they can sell a mattress topper that will impregnate your bed with such an awful smell -- it really is bad (it smells kind of like those red rubber balls you played dodge ball with in school). And the worst thing about it is that even after you return it, YOUR BED WILL STILL STINK! I will NEVER buy a Therapedic Mattress Topper EVER AGAIN!!! (and I'll probably have to burn my bed...)

Bought this topper even after reading some of the reviews. Was a little skeptical but went ahead. Got it home and did detect a slight odor but nothing offensive as some people have experienced. Within 5 hours it had reached it's 3" however I did unzip the cover and fold it over as the instructions suggest. Odor had dissipated and after some wrangling to get the cover on straight we put it on the bed. No shoulder pain, arm numbness, hip ache the next morning and I slept like a baby. AMAZING!!! It is about 1" shorter on all sides when centered on the bed, not a big deal.
I hope it lasts longer than the reviews state because it's not cheap. Maybe they got a lemon.
