This is the worst knife we have ever spent money on! Worked when we took it out of the box and then when we went to use it, it stopped while in use and never started up again! One time and it quit! Will not but another one EVER!

I had other electric knives that didn't last long, so I decided to spend more and knowing my past good experiences with Cuisinart, purchased a Cuisinart Electric Knife - I loved it. However, after one year of infrequent use, it started shorting out. Finally it would not start at all. After calling Cuisinart, they offered to send me a new one for almost as much as I paid for the knife originally. Don't waste your money, buy the cheaper ones and just replace them more often. A huge disappointment in the Cuisanart name.

I purchased this electric knife because I love and trust Cuisinart products. At first it cut great, however after two years it konked out. I was so dissappointed so I called their headquarters thinking they could do something. Well they said sorry. I won't be replacing this with a cusiniart knife. I took out my old electric knife which I got for a shower gift 35 years ago, and it still works.

I love the knife. It is wonderful. I use it almost every week. From turkey, roast, and ham it works great.
This is the second one I have purchased. The first one did wear out after about 6 or 7 years. But it did get a lot of use.

This is the worst electric knife ever made. Owned a previous electric knife for 20 years prior to buying this one. It quit working only after I dropped it. Replaced it with this piece of junk. Quit working after the third use, and returned it, and got a replacement. The replacement worked for only about a year with minimal use. This was not one, but two of this brand that quit working, in only a year. I strongly suggest not buying this brand!!!!!!!

We purchased this electric knife on May 6, 2011. It quit working yesterday, July 2, 2011. It didn't even last 2 months. We used this knife to cut up meat for our dogs - beef tongue, beef heart, chicken. Some of the meat was cooked and some was raw. We used it at least twice a week for a half hour each time. We need a good, good electric knife. This was not it. If you were going to use it just occasionally for a minute or two - it would be fine. But not for what we needed it for.

We had our knife for about 2 years, using only occasionally, when I plugged it in one day, and as I depressed the starter, a loud pop and blue flash came from the wall outlet. Knife was fried - no injuries. The kitchen had been remodeled the year before; the problem was not the wiring. I wassurprised since all my other Cuisinart appliances have been very reliable. My dad went to his house and brought back a 30+ year old GE knife that is kind of slow, but still works!

Trigger problems are consistent with other reviewers. The knife kept stopping but would eventually work well enough to make it through the carving. I put up with this for 2 years then it just quit altogether this thanksgiving. I would not buy another cuisinart knife. It looks pretty but does not work!
