I absolutely adore this cookware. Easily cleanable, very attractive and extremely practical pieces come in this set. Additionally, there are other pieces available to order and complement the basic set. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! By the way... this cookware is made by All Clad, but is about 1/2 the $$$$ that you would pay for a regular All Clad set!!!

WOW! JUST WOW!

Let me start off by saying that before buying this set, I never cooked on anything other than non-stick.
If you read the directions and follow them, it's near impossible to burn anything or have any food stick to the pan. Liquids are brought to a boil quickly despite the lids not being airtight. I'm still able to make rice in them when I need to, but it takes a little more water. There is not much of a learning curve.
Sometimes clean up can be frustrating (dried on foods that aren't washed immediately following cooking), but they come off fine with Bar Keepers Friend. For those of you that had pointed out that the copper has faded, that can be fixed by using a copper polishing cream or using Bar Keepers Friend. Just yesterday my dear husband left the burner on with left over pasta sauce left in the pot for an hour. HOUR! It was like GLUE! It took a little bit more elbow grease, but it all came out! No burn marks!
The 8 inch sauce pan indeed does tip since the handle is heavier than the actual pan, but I don't find it much of an annoyance once I get food in to it (I'm usually stir frying one serving of green beans, doesn't take much weight to counter it).
These pans are made by the same company as All-Clad, which is top-of-the-line cook-wear that I have used. I don't notice a difference other than Emerilware is lighter (the metal ratios are different).
My only complaint is that I wish the measuring markers inside of the pots were etched. After we used Bar Keepers Friend in the small pot, it erased the markers. I would've paid extra for them to have been etched. However, I don't really use the markers anyways when I cook, so I suppose it doesn't really matter in the end.
I love these pots, we use them daily. IF these ever die, we'll be replacing them with the same set!

Disappointing

I purchased this set several months ago and have found that, although I like most of the pans, the 8 inch saute pan will not sit on a burner or on the counter without tipping over. I returned the saucepan to All-clad for warrantee evaluation and they sent me a new pan which is even worse. So disappointed in Emerilware (made by Al-clad). The handle is too heavy for the pan. This pan is useless and, even worse, dangerous.

I have had my cookware approximately 6 months now, I am disappointed that the copper strip has worn off. Not sure if it is lined with copper. Disappointed All Clad would make a product like this. The larger size pans are used on a daily basis. They are light weight and easy to use. The small pan sticks when frying an egg, requires a lot more oil. I had to buy a different pan for such usage. The air vents in the pot covers are nice for straining excess off.

I used this set at my Mom's house, and I gotta tell ya, I've never been such a great cook in my life! Maybe it understands me better than other pots & pans, but even something as simple as spaghetti came out amazingly! There's nothing else I would put on my wishlist, even after just a few uses of it. So glad I found it on here!

I've had my set for over 2 years and they are still as good as they were the day I got them. These are very well made. It's like getting All-Clad for less than half the price. I've had no problems with these whatsoever. These were also rated a best buy in Consumer Reports.

I originally purchased my set 2 years ago, and then purchased the 14 piece set for my son when he went to grad school. I could not be more pleased! I l;ove to cook but cannot afford All Clad and this has proven to be a great substitute. My cookware take a lot of wear and tear and these have been great. Easy to clean,
great for cooking and they have held up better than I could have expected. I would recommend them as a great starter set for serious young cooks.

Don't waste your money!!!

I've been around the kitchen for a while, used many, many cheap Reverware stainless pans for many, many years. And yes they got dirty, but cleaned up pretty good with a brillo pad. So why did I decide to give $300 for Emerilware? (which is a division of All-Clad) Count me a fool! Within a couple of years part of the bottom of the large pot was delaminating! My Reverware did not do that in over 25 years!
So after a long search on the Emerilware web site, I finally found you had to call All-Clad for a return number, then send it in. So I did so, and what did I get in return? My pot back in the mail a month later, without any note, excuse, or "go jump in the lake, we don't take returns" letter!! Guess I just wasted another few bucks for postage. Here's a warning so you don't fall victim to the same fate...
