I bought this device this morning, although the directions
are a little hard to understand, I mostly figured it out on my own. I am more than pleased, easy to use perfectly
peels, cores, and slices apple in to Apple Rings faster and easier than anything I have ever seem. I will use it everyday. The only assembly required is screwing on the handle.

I bought this apple peeler today and I am very disappointed. I don't know if there is a trick to it or something, but it didn't do much. It cored off center even though I put it in line with the stem, and it barely peeled at all. Just a scrap here and there. The only thing I liked about it was that is sliced very thinly. If it doesn't start working better, I'm returning it.

This kitchen aid saved me from the job of peeling, coring and slicing lots of apples for a new recipe. One thing to note when reading the instructions is that the knob/handle is screwed on "counter clockwise" and NOT the clockwise motion most of us are used to. This was definitely one of my smarter purchases! Enjoy!

I used this product several times with little difficulty and great success. However, the last time, it just wouldn't push the apple through the cutting circle. Seemed like a combination of a weakening spring on the gear AND the cutter either dulling or the metal fatiguing. The peeler works fine. Would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't failed.

I bought this product to peel large amounts of applesauce for canning. My 11 year old loves using it because it is so easy. My 8 year old-who has an aversion to any healthy foods-loves to eat what he calls "Apple Slinkys" because the apples come out looking like a Slinky toy. I don't even use my hand held apple slicer/corer any more.
Tip: Watch the video on the website before using it. Try to use on apples that are more symmetrical. Also, when the cores on the apples are not perfectly straight, I just use a plain corer to get rid of the seeds & remainder of the core after I pull it off the peeler.

We got this for a wedding gift and couldn't wait to use it! One apple peeled great and then in the middle of the second one the crank screw stripped. Will be returning this gift!

I love this! It's so easy to use and clean. I peeled cord and sliced a 5lb bag of apples in less then 10 minutes! My daughter begged to use too! The only thing I didn't like was the base doesn't suction to the counter very well. Otherwise It's an awesome tool expecially for the price!!!

Sadly, too many things went wrong with this product for me to recommend it.
First, the handle screw wouldn't thread, so I had to crank the handle without the knob.
Then, the first apple peeled, sliced, and cored just fine, but after that, the slicer/corer kept bending, and didn't stay in place. Only one apple out of 10 peeled/cored/sliced properly, and I ended up doing things the old fashioned way.

WOW I was amazed at how well this apple peeler not only peeled, but also cored and sliced all at the same time. It worked so easily. I am going to use it again tomorrow - gonna try it on potatoes - scalloped potatoes here I come. I never write reviews but was so impressed I couldn't help it.

Hit or Miss product

I had purchased one of these apple peelers last fall for our annual apple butter and sauce cannning weekend. It performed great! Peeled and cored the apples lickety-quick! However, after I took it apart to clean, it just did not work as well. The corer/slicer blade tended to bend, so the apple would get stuck about half way through. I purchased another one last week, only to find out that the screw to secure the knob to the handle would not thread properly. I'm returning it today for a refund. So you may get lucky, you may not! I liked it when it worked, though!

Rust Prevention

I just used my apple peeler for the first time. I suspected that there may be a rust problem if the unit is left wet or damp, so I dried it with the hairdryer, keeping the heat away from plastic parts. I love the peeler!

We purchased the peeler to peel pears. Pears are very hard, and this did the trick. It isn't the most sturdy, but it does the job. For the cost, if I use it for a season, and have to replace next year, so be it. I like it.

This apple peeler, slicer, corer is so slick! It only takes a little drop of water under the base to have it set to a flat surface. My husband and I absolutely love it. It's apple season in upstate N.Y. and what a treat to do apple pies.

Piece of Junk! Don't Waste Your Money

Not sure if I just got a bad one, since there are some good reviews on here, but mine was a piece of junk. The nuts & bolts were all crooked & stripped, so the blades moved when the apple got close. I decided it wasn't worth wasting my time to get it to work anymore, because I could peel, core & slice the apples for my pie quicker by hand than by using this. Taking it back to the store pronto!

It used to take me an hour to peel 10 apples, now it takes me 10 minutes. I am so happy with my new kitchen tool. I love baking apple pies, so this is definitely a time-saver.
I originally didn't know how to attach the suction base to a surface, but then I wet the bottom and it stuck to my countertop easily.
It's a little hard taking off the core from the spikes, and I've only had it for a week, so I don't know if this will eventually cause long-term damage. (from pulling too hard on the device?)
It says to wash with warm soapy water, which is what I've done, but it seems to be getting a little rusty already.
Either way, I still love it. And I'm going through a couple of apples a day.

First I'll say I consider myself a pretty handy person. I assemble and disassemble things quite easily and have never had problems with many kitchen appliances or anything like that. This peeler looked great in theory and was a splurge for me since I'm on a tight budget. I tried several times to get this thing to work on several different occasions and all it did was mangle my apples. The only surface it stuck to was my stove. My husband and mother both tried also to get it to work and couldn't. I ended up throwing it in the trash before I moved because it wasn't worth taking with me. Someone actually gifted one to my mother at one point and I believe she threw it away too. I think with the mixed reviews it's possible this is a hit or miss item and maybe there are a lot of duds or something. Also I did read the instructions but nothing in them helped me get a good result with this item.

Allows me to peel, core, and slice apples for the mile-high-apple-pie in under 5 minutes. I think I did have to read the instructions once, but it's pretty easy to figure out.
