I've had several of these - they are necessary and
good when they are working, but do not last long.
the battery goes after a few months. Shameful cost
for such an inferior product - Get it, but don't expect
it to go on forever!

Excellent Oral Hygiene

I have used the oral pick for over 30 years. My hygienist applauds me on my gums being so healthy. I would recommend either the portable or the non-portable (DC current). Even if you floss daily, you would not believe the food left behind underneath your gums, until you use the oral irrigator. Start on lowest (softest) setting and as gums harden work up to a harder water stream.

I love the Waterpik. It really cleans between my teeth.
I took it with me on several trips and the charge held for the 21 days of two people using it two and three times a day. My dentist told me to get it. If you get an extra set of tips, two people can use it together.

Pressure too high!

Although the waterpik itself is a great product, I would recommend the platinum and not the hand held. The hand held as only 2 settings and even the low one is very high pressure and rough on gums/teeth. I do recommend the platinum waterpik which has 10 different settings to go from low to high and the lowest settings are very low so not harsh like the hand held. I would always recommend starting on the lowest setting and if you decide to move up later, go 1 setting at a time to make sure it's not too much pressure! God Bless!

Worthless

This tool is worthless, badly designed, badly balanced and NO POWER! I bought this Waterpik to replace my old Waterpik, the large family size one, because--though it worked PERFECTLY-- it died suddenly, which they tend to do after about a year. Repairing itt would have cost as much as a new one and the company was "out of parts" anyway. So any way you cut it, a Waterpik is only good for about a year. This one is worthless.

Does not last for as long as 1 year

My first water pik lasted 8 months. I contacted company and they didn't question my veracity and immediately sent me another one, without a question. My second one also lasted about 10 months and now I need another one! I like that it works good when it is charged and new, but forget about it working after less than a year! Tomorrow I am going to contact them, again! I don't intend to buy another one like this!

Cordless WaterPik Is USELESS.

Have had the product a little over a year. Same problem as previously noted. The device does not hold charge. From the onset the device would rapidly slow down as charge was weakening much sooner than manufacturer claims. Battery technology is probably NiMH and has horrible charge memory problems. Device is now completely dead after about 18 months of use and will not recharge.

I have always had a Waterpick irrigator, and bought this one recently because The size was smaller for my new tiny apt. I have not had it 1 year...it will NOT hold a charge, no matter how long it is plugged in. And can't replace battery pac.The booklet said it should hold a charge for 2 weeks! NO WAY.....I did not save receipt because I have never had a problem w/ Waterpick before. 50.00 wasted in these hard economic times

Super Tool

I had previous WaterPiks in the past which were bulky (big footprint) and messy to use (unwieldy umbilical cord to the base). This one is much easier to use and fast. Rated for 45 seconds' worth of action with a full reservoir, a half filled reservoir is sufficient to dislodge food particles and fast enough to use after each brushing. I bought one for myself and one for my husband. I am about to buy a couple more units for my grandchildren with braces...
