I decided to get this set with my KA mixer. It seemed it would be the most useful to me. I'm really new at cooking so I hoped I wasn't taking too much on.

I came across a shrimp scampi recipe that I figured was made for this set. I followed the recipe right from the attachment booklet and was real happy with how easy it was and how good everything tasted when done.

I need to use it more to make sure I have the pasta down perfect. In my first attempt the pasta was very soft after cooking. I'm not sure why but I think I way overcooked the pasta. Still, lots of fun, tasted better than anything from a box and I have all sorts of plans for pasta dishes.

Bought this for my daughter and her family. She absolutely loves it and has used it often since she got it. She says it is a 10 out of 10 and if they would send her the ravioli maker for it she would rate it a 1000. She loves making fresh pasta for her family with this unit.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She had requested it. We used it to make noodles on Christmas night. It worked great and very fast. Just wish it wasn't SO expensive.

Making pasta is easy!

These rollers are worth every penny. Making fresh pasta is easy and tastes SO good! The flat roller makes your basic sheets of pasta that you can use for lasagna or ravioli. The other two rollers are for fettuccine and linguine. Also good, also easy. A small booklet gives you a recipe for making basic pasta and spinach pasta. It takes a bit of time (allow 30-45 min) to make it - you don't want to rush it - but turn on the music and pour a glass of wine as you go. The results are terrific! I would recommend a simple tomato and fresh basil sauce so you can appreciate the pasta.

Super Fun, super good

I had the extruder plates and never liked how difficult it was to separate the pasta. I decided to treat myself to this 3 piece set. What fun it is to make pasta with this set. The trick is to be sure the dough is pliable enough to stay together, but not so stiff that it crumbles. I needed to add a little extra water to achieve this pliability. I made the whole wheat recipe and the semolina recipe and and had just about every available surface in the house covered with pasta. It really is a joy to use, and the end product is superior to anything you can buy. My 80 year old is having a pasta making lesson this weekend with me. she is a big foodie, but has never made her own pasta. I want to buy the angel hair cutter too!

This attachment is awesome!!! Tried hand roller pasta machine. Too much work and had a heck of a time keeping it attached to the counter. This works so well that it was almost too easy. Rolling is a breeze. And one big plus vs the hand powered roller is that the Kithchenaid is high above the counter making it so easy to gather the pasta as it comes through for a light dusting of flour before cooking. Now fresh pasta is all we will eat. FYI... tried the Kitchenaid extruder type pasta attachment. Big Mistake!! All the pasta sticks together before you can get it floured and separated.

This 3 piece set contains pasta roller, fettuccine cutter and "spagehetti" cutter NOT linguinne cutter. This is the set I have and it works like a DREAM, I can't wait to add more attachments to the set. You will never want store bought pasta again!!! They give you receipes and it takes maybe 45 minutes to make it fresh. Kitchen Aid I LOVE YOU!!!
