Disappointing

My wife & I received this model as a wedding gift in October 2010. By December, it ceased to produce any water as it seemed like the water pump failed. Keurig sent a replacement which lasted until April 2013, though it's performance was mediocre. I always used filtered water & would descale every three months. After a year, it would brew only the smallest quantity of the three options. I also cleaned the needles with the paperclip as needed, though it did not resolve the issue. Now it is producing 1/4 cup of water regardless of the quantity selected & when the reservoir is removed, the "moat" will fill up with water & overflow. As a last ditch effort I called Keurig to see if there was anything that could be done. Their response was to purchase another reservoir. I fail to understand how the reservoir is the issue since it is not leaking, while the moat is backing up with water, which the representative acknowledged is abnormal. I jumped off the Keurig bandwagon since I use ground coffee & in my opinion, K-cups are too expensive. I'd recommend a French press instead since I've found the result to be superior. It may be less convenient, but I'm willing to deal with that since the French press produces superior taste, is more durable, & cost-effective.

My Dead Keurig

I purchased my Keurig about 3 years ago...always enjoyed the convenience at work so I decided to give it a shot....worked beautifully the first year...then I started having a problems with it when you select your cup size the machine would display brewing but nothing was coming out and then I started having the problem when you select your serving size no matter what serving you chose you would get about 3 teaspoons. Then it would have it good days work like a charm for about 2 weeks straight and then back to the teaspoons...Well now it sitting on the counter in my very tastefully decorated kitchen doing absolutely NOTHING... I'm on the BB &B site trying to shop for another even if with another brand since I have every flavor kcup you could imagine...but all of the other brands have horrible reviews too...I don't know what to do??

Frustrated

I received this machine as a gift from my husband and kept it at our 2nd home so it didn't get used very often. It was less than a year old and I had used it only a few times before I began having issues. The machine would just scroll through the menu over and over and not brew anything. I tried running vinegar through it to see if that would fix it but it didn't . Sometimes I can get it to brew a cup, but it will only brew 10oz cups successfully, so most everything I make is too watery. The 6 and 8 ounce buttons just cause it to scroll through the menu.

This product does not last -- even with the best of care. I have had two machines in two years and both had problems. Paying so much for the machine and then the K-cups -- it isn't worth the money.

Great Cup of Coffee

We got this as a wedding present. This is a great machine! It is perfect for someone who is in a rush and really needs just one medium sized cup of coffee. My husband and I on the other hand need big cups of coffee. I have a 16 ounce mug I use probably twice a day. He has a thermal mug he fills up before he goes to work, which is about the same size as mine. We have to brew through those little K-Cups twice each time get enough coffee. Even if we choose the largest size (12 ounces).
I am returning this machine because we just need more coffee made than a single serving each time. We go through at least 5 of those little cups a day and for that price, we might as well go to Starbucks. If you only need a single medium serving, this is a machine for you. Like I said it makes a great cup of coffee. I just need more than a single serve.

Best Coffee Maker

Got this for Christmas from my husband and it is one of the best gifts that I have received. I love the ease of use, the options of coffees and teas available and I have no coffee pot to clean. Will be buying a smaller one for use at the office. I see savings in my future from not running through Starbucks for the $5.00 coffee a day.

Horrible, cheap quality, and dangerous

If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm not the type to normally write product reviews, but I'm hoping to save someone from the misery that I've been through. I'm on brewer #3 in 3 years, and I'm officially DONE with Keurig products. I think the biggest disappointment was having one of my brewers malfunction and spew HOT COFFEE GROUNDS all over my office. After cleaning it all up, and calling customer service, the rep walked me through several "cleaning steps", and then instructed me to try the brewing process again. Now, this might shock you, but....it spewed HOT COFFEE GROUNDS all over my office for a second time. I was in the middle of telling the rep how upset I was (and cleaning nasty coffee grounds off my floor, desk, and walls) when he conveniently, "accidentally", hung up on me. The next rep that I talked to acted like she was doing me a favor by offering me a replacement brewer "for only $60"...Well, gosh, what a KILLER DEAL (sarcasm...). You mean to tell me that you will charge me $60 to send me a new brewer that will just break again in 8-10 months?? I was stupid, and agreed...and now I'm out ANOTHER $60 and have ANOTHER BROKEN KEURIG. This one doesn't shoot hot coffee grounds all over the place, thank goodness, but it doesn't brew anything at all. What good is a single cup coffee maker if it can't do it's ONE JOB....make a SINGLE CUP OF COFFEE!!!!!!! This time, I called customer service and was told that the steps I had to go through to fix the problem were too complicated for the rep to give me over the phone, and she told me to just go to keurig.com and watch a "how to" video, and all of my problems would be solved, and a golden unicorn would come flying down from the skies and cry tears of diamonds into my hands, and all would be right with the world....Ok, she didn't say that last part....but, she didn't help me AT ALL, and basically told me to go to their website and watch a video and fix it myself. This obviously didn't work, and I'm sitting here stuck with another pile of junk in my trash can. I would never recommend this product to anyone, unless you are clinically insane.
Oh, one last thing...if you don't follow their instructions to "descale" the brewer FREQUENTLY (and who remembers to do this annoying process every 2-3 weeks?!?), you will be scolded by every customer service rep you speak to, and they will blame EVERY problem that occurs on the fact that you didn't descale the stupid thing every other day...Give me a break.

Great brewer for the first year. Then started brewing half cups. Then on year two the electric went out. BUT if you buy from BB&B, they have an exchange or store credit policy for 4 years after purchase. OR Keurig company will replace for about 1/2 the original price if outside of 1 yr warranty. In other words, machine may have problems, but the company as well as BB& B retailers stand behind the product.

I want to first say that Bed Bath and Beyond has the best customer service. Not only do they stand by the products they sell, they will also exchange for the same or similar item with no questions asked! Major thumbs up for them. As far as the Keurig goes I exchanged this one for the first one I had broke. The water was re entering the holding tank as others have reviewed. It stopped brewing a full cup just before having it for a year. I tried all manufacturers suggestions to correct the problem with no luck. If you google this issue it seems to happen with this and other Keurig models. Since I otherwise loved my Keurig I decided not to spend more money and just keep the same model. Hopefully we will have better luck this time around. I only reccomend this because of the great customer service from BB&B and because of the convience the machine offers.

Leaks and clogs

Loved it at first. After a year, it started brewing half cups while the rest of the water goes out the pressure relief valve. I descale it every couple of months and have never had a "DESCALE" message come up on the screen. However, water going out the pressure relief valve & back into the tank apparently indicates that the system is clogged & needs descaling. Now, the coffee is starting to taste odd. This is the second machine that has done this and I will not be buying a third.

Here's the truth about this Keurig...

I've read a lot of reviews here, seems they either love it or hate it. Here's the truth; this is one of the best single-cup makes on the market. The B40 and B70 have higher failure rates. Yes, sometimes you get a bad Keurig. But the truth is, most of the bad reviews here are from people who don't understand the machine. The B60 is a SOLID coffee maker which can adjust the coffee to your liking. if you're in the market for a single-serve machine, this is THE one to get.

I have three Keurigs at home, the Special Edition, the B40 and the mini - and they all work fine after 3 years of use. We have this model at work, and after the higher priced model breaking on us, we went back to this one. It gets used by at least six people every day with multiple cups per person. With proper descaling (we haven't descaled this one in over a year), NO PROBLEMS. We did have a problem with our first machine (heavy use) so it seems that a broken Keurig needs to be returned and exchanged. This is not a regular issue, but I have experienced a lemon. Worth the cost and spoils you to want a great cup of coffee everywhere.

The BEST BREWER I've ever had in my life!

After I tried Keurig at Mercedes dealer near my house, I decided to buy one for my wife's birthday.
This was the BEST Brewer I've ever had in my life. First of all, now I know that I have a perfect coffee in the morning that I don't need to grab a coffee at starbucks to my work. Second, My wife was so happy and she told her friends about it (Imagine if I bought her something else!). Lastly, I ended up saving a decent amount of money not going to starbucks anymore.
My best choice on coffee: Keurig's french vanilla flavor.
I highly recommend this product for people who geniunely appreciate the morning coffee to start a fresh new day!

We really enjoyed this coffee maker and the ability to make individual cups, since we have a caffeine drinker and a decafe drinker. The choice of coffees was also appealing. However, the electronic panel has quit in just over two years, and cannot be repaired. Keurig offered us a replacement for $97 - which is a good price and offer, but I wish companies would make products that last and are reliable!

Save Your Money - Keurig is a Waste

My wife bought this machine for my mother-in-law 18 months ago. It seemed like a good fit to her because her mother doesn't drink a lot of coffee, but enjoys a good coffee when she does drink it. A one cup system with pods/cups instead of a basket for just one scoop was what they decided was best.
The machine is now broken, after maybe 20-30 uses. So, over 18 months, with about one to two uses a month the machine no longer turns on. It's completely dead and a complete waste of money.
Don't buy this piece of carp, you'll regret it.

2 Years and still going strong

In the two years I have had my Keurig, I have only encountered one problem: it began turning off because it lost water in the line between the reservoir and the pump when it had been out of use for a week. I solved the problem by turning the machine off and on repeatedly for five minutes, allowing more and more water to the pump until it finally remained on. That was about 5 or 6 months ago, and I haven't had a problem since. This has been one of the best coffee makers I've ever owned, and my office mates and I are now buying one to share at work and we will ban that 1970's Bunn relic to a cabinet.

I purchased one of these a few years ago. After only 3 or 4 months it stopped working, no lights... nothing. I called Keurig and they told me it was my fault. Hmm... my fault huh? They said I didn't properly maintain the machine. Maintain? I just bought it! So they said as a courtesy they would send me a replacement but they will only do this once. They also said the machine needs to be maintained at least every 3 months. Hmm... that is not what the instructions say. Actually it says 3 to 6 months and it also says the machine will tell you when it needs this done. Not in my case I guess. So just a couple of days ago the replacement fails (it lasted almost 2 years). Once again it was 5 months since the last cleaning. Wow, talk about high maintenance! This thing cost $150! I have a 20 year old drip coffee maker that cost $30 that I might have cleaned 3 times since I bought it. These things are JUNK so I'm going with the Cuisinart single serve coffee maker. Maybe they know how to make a machine that will last without constant attention. Oh, I would have given no stars but you have to select at least one.

Bye Bye Keurig

After a few months this Keurig model quit giving me a full cup. Instead the water went back into the holding tank. I went online to search for a solution and found that it's a common problem with all Keurigs. Apparently the line was blocked. I use filtered water, so it's not because of calcium build-up. I tried shooting compressed air into the line, cleaning the needle, descaling it, etc and nothing work. The water would shoot out from the needle and from the nozzle in the holding tank, but it was still clogged. I'm going back to the old style coffee makers. No more K cups in the land fills from this house! Do your research before buying these machines.

I am obsessed with my Keurig! I keep reading how some people are having trouble and it keeps breaking... not in my case! I love the simplicity and the short time it takes to make me just the simple on cup of coffee that I enjoy! It's perfect and I will continue to purchase from Keurig! I cannot believe I almost didn't purchase this because of reviews!
