I am the owner of a VERY furry coated German Shepherd and the mother of 3 young children. I have had 3 different Dyson Vacuum Cleaners and never have been completely satisfied with the performance. I decided to try the Miele and I have to say there is no comparison! The Miele S7 Jazz in an exceptional vacuum cleaner. I vacuum a lot less because it picks up the tumble weeds of dog hair and the daily debris the first time. I felt like I was vacuuming ALL the time with the Dyson because it missed so much, plus my dog's hair would stick to the plastic on the Dyson and it drove me crazy. I would have to clean the vacuum after I used it. Not with the Miele! The quality surpasses any other vacuum I have tried. It is simple and cleans throughly without having to use 10 different attachments to get the same results from just 3. Miele definitely understands the consumer. The ease of use with the Miele is like night and day from the others. I purchased the other brand because I thought the features and performance sounded better. Key word sounded. The marketing is better not the vacuum. Miele speaks for itself. I made sure to dig a little deeper this time before making another purchase. I was amazed at the difference. Also the air quality is much better since I went back to a bag versus bag less. I thought I would enjoy the bag less feature but I did not because I was constantly emptying the canister outside into a bag and no matter how you try dust particles are still being released.
A major inconvenience especially for the price of the vacuum. I am able to vacuum more efficiently with the bag and its healthier for my family. I didn't think the light would matter much but it helps with efficiency also. I didn't realize how much I actually missed picking up. The light shows so much more! I look forward to vacuuming. Never thought I would say that.

I love my Miele Jazz that I purchased 2 years ago. I did months of research before choosing it. It has an excellent warranty, HEPA filtration, really well made, heavy duty, ect. So when the switch went out on it recently I was shocked! I started looking at other vacuums…again and decided I did not want to give up my Miele. So I took it back to my Sycamore, Illinois store and the manager Ken exchanged it out for a new one. It’s this type of customer service that keeps me coming back to Bed Bath and Beyond!

I returned my Dyson that I have had for at least 5 years to BB&B because it broke & the parts were to expensive to buy considering the vacuum was so old. I have been researching the Miele Upright and searched You Tube to watch some very informative information. *(you should check youtube) about this model vs several other models. I have to say, it isnt a light vacuum, it will def give your arms a work out. I have to say that after owning my Dyson Animal and I thought that "it" cleaned my rugs boy was I mistaken. This Miele Vacuum is a TOTALLY WONDERFUL machine. The rugs havent looked so nice in a really long time. Great suction, the headlight shows the stuff on the rug and the filters dont have to be changed for at least 2-3 years..BIG +. I could have purchased the model under this S7210, but I spoiled myself and paid the extra $100 for the light & the Hepa long lasting filter. I also compaired this to the Kirby I have and it almost does a better job... Miele has my vote!!! If your unsure if this is as good as what the reviews say, dont take our word for it, take some time and visit YouTube and watch the videos. Do your research before you spend the money. =)

Don't go for the DYSON

I have both owned and used several Dyson vacuum, cheaper mass marketed "disposable" vacuums; your hoover, dirt devil plastic el cheapo. I have also recently owned a commercial sanitaire vacuum along with a carpet pro. This vacuum is by far the most efficient, easy to use, cleverly though out design and I would say best vacuum you could own. I have two cats and am very particular about the cleanliness of my house and in particular with animals. The vacuum has outstanding filtration, highest suction CF M's out of any vacuum I have owned (even higher than the Dyson). Some comment on the weight of the vacuum etc. Well, I hate to tell you but anyone who has a multi story dwelling your going to have to do a little manual labor to keep it clean. And the lighter, the cheaper and less efficient the vacuum.
Buy it - you won't be disappointed.

helpful tip: If you do have pets, I purchase cheap (like HARTZ) or any brand of flea and tic collar and place in vacuum bag. This will help to ensure if you vacuum a flea or something it will not use the vacuum as it's 2nd home for breeding.

Never thought I would get rid of my Dyson!

Let me start off by saying that I have a 3 Year old Pomerainain dog, who is an inside dog. And she sheds her coat with the seasons. And is currently in the middle of shedding a coat of thick dog fur now, that is why I am now writing this review. I owned and still own a Dyson, they are a good product for the price and defiantly not junk or bad. But the Miele is the vacuum I dont think twice about it doing a consistently immaculate job with my carpet. I own the Salsa *bright red* model. It is classified as a comfort model as it has the dial which selects the suction. I personally prefer this because I can set it to what I want any where in between high and low theirs never a middle setting basically a 1-10 type thing. I absolutely LOVE this vacuum. Its very clean, I have horrid allergies and my Dyson that was *allergy* friendly always caused a flair up. But I have never had an issue with my Miele, I feel it purifies the air as I vacuum. No its not a bagless so there for you have to buy bags, they are pricy but defiantly last and are worth the price and are high quality. When I use my dyson I have to clean out the brushes before every use.. But with my Miele I have never had to do that ever... even with my shedding Pomerainian. I never have to go over a section of carpet over and over again, its always cleaned and fluffed. As for hard floors I was a get the broom out and sweep person.. NOT ANY MORE! I just move the suction to the top and BAM! clean hard floors! seriously I can run my hand over the floor and not get anything. Also the cord is amazingly long! I only have to plug in once and I can do my whole house which isnt small. The wand and tools are pretty standard and are high quality. I also love the 8 LED lights on the front. I never knew how much junk was on my floor till it was that lit up. I vacuum every other day, and when my dog is shedding sometimes twice a day seriously. And I can defiantly say this vacuum was money well spent, I paid $550 at a local vacuum shop, prices seem to vary, bed bath and beyond has them from 400 for the base which is basically the same minus the 8 led lights. I can defiantly see this vacuum being in our family for many years defiantly getting passed down if a new one comes along. These vacuums are basically maintenance free, just change the bags normally and the filter every year, * I have not and still seem to be okay even with my allergies ill ride it out till it needs it $60 is a little much to replace it. Belts are a never need it thing. plus the motor has a very long warranty with it too 7 years, the vacuum was designed to last 20. And I can defiantly see it reaching that age.

There are only two negatives that I have 1. the vacuum is a little on the heavier side.. Only a little but I can see how for some people especially the elderly it would be rough.. Sadly cant help it. 2. The beautiful paint does tend to scratch easily, the paint is like car paint so i have even used car wax on it to get the scratches out... Heck i spent this much on it might as well look good too lol.

I seriously love this vacuum and if anything happens to it I will with out a doubt get another. I would however like to see a new improved model come out one day. As I would surely buy it. I am defiantly a Miele fan for life!

I love my miele! I originally purchased the dyson but was not amazed with the suction like i thought i would be. I was very unhappy with the mess and dust cloud created every time I had to empy the dirt canister. I decided to look for something better and was hoping to find something made in the USA. I called several local sew -n- vac type stores and was suprised to hear three of them rave about the miele. It is Made in
Germany which is find with me (I try to buy american & try to avoid Chinese). I went to BBB to do a test drive so to speak. The gentleman helped me take it down, plugged it in and let me go to town. I was in LOVE!! It is so smooth, has great suction, the swivel head is so nice and unit lies flat and fits right under my sofa and dining chairs. I also love the bright light, extra long cord and sweet retro euro look. My sister came over for christmas and asked if she could help clean up the mess from the kids...I asked her to vacuum and she was hooked. She bought hers yesterday. You will not be disappointed :)
