I just moved into a new apartment and was excited to spend my last day before starting the new job organizing and putting things away, but my size 6 1/2 shoes are too small for this rack. It's very easy to assemble, but it would be great if it said on the box that your shoes need to be at least a 9 or 10 to fit on the bars. Huge hassle and a wasted day, given the fact that this doesn't work for all shoe sizes I'd give this zero stars if I could. Unless you have large feet save your time and purchase something else.

I only wear a size 6 and this rack is way to big to hold my shoes. I would think your shoe size would almost have to be a woman's 9 or larger for this to work. It's an attractive rack but mine has to go back!!

The top level of this shoe rack is fine, but it completely FAILS on the lower 2 levels. The lower 2 levels are each squeezed in too tightly against the levels above them, so the tops of your shoes are scraping against the heels of the shoes above them!! So the tops of your shoes get dirty from the shoes above! Terrible design. Don't waste your money. We returned ours immediately.

Completely Useless

While this shoe rack looks nice, it is completely useless. My size 7 shoes will not stay on it, nor will my husband's size 10's. Very frustrating to spend time neatly lining up your shoes only to find them on a pile in the floor when you return. I tried putting masking tape around the metal bars to see if that would help the shoes stay put but it didn't.

This shoe rack is so stupid! I'm writing this review because I just have to vent. I should have returned this item when I had the chance. My size 7 shoes fall right through the bars. WHY would they space the bars so far apart? If you try to balance the heel behind the back bar, the toe doesn't even come close to reaching the front bar so this is useless for heels. Even for flats, balance is precarious. Who in the world designed this piece of junk, and why do they have a job?? Ugh.

Poor Quality and Doesn't Hold Shoes Well

We bought this about 2.5 years ago. From the start it wasn't that good at holding the shoes, especially mine which are size 6.5 to 7.5. Like other reviews have said, you can balance your shoes on the bars but if you slightly bump the rack the shoes fall.

If that were the only problem it would be annoying, but manageable. But, after having it for about a year the plastic pieces at the ends of the bars started breaking. At this point most of them are broken, so besides the shoes falling, the bars are constantly falling too. So, it's basically useless and we are looking to buy a new/different shoe rack.

Not good for small shoes

I purchased this for my closet. I wear a size 6 ladies shoe. The rails are too wide for a size 6 shoe. If I carefully put the shoe on the rail it will hold the shoe but if I bump the shoe the least little bit or hurrying putting a shoe up it falls through the rails. If it's on the top row and falls through all the shoes under the one that falls also fall through. I'm returning it.

Don't Waste Your Money

I purchased three of these shoes racks for my closet & all of them are a waste. On all three the plastic cap on the sides have fallen off making the rack making it unable to tighten there for they are very unsturdy. Also my size 8.5 shoe barely fits on across the bars so my shoes are always falling down to the next rack which causes a dominon effect on the shoes. Everytime I walk into my closet I am picking up shoes have have fallen.

I bought this item and was excited when I put it together because it held all my shoes and had a clean look to it. It sat inside my closet against the wall and with the racks filled, I put the shoes I use most, on the top so as not to have to struggle when trying to access the other ones since the distance between the three different levels was a little tight. Sometimes it was tricky to get shoes on the middle or bottom rack but I managed. The rack seemed a little wobbly once or twice but I straightened the sides back up and it was fine. The other day I bumped into it by accident on my way out of my closet and the whole thing fell apart. I tried to reassemble it but it was futile. The plastic that was around the screws on the ends of the wooden frame that fit inside the bars that held my shoes, completely disintegrated. The rack was never rigorously used which is why I was so confused when all my shoes came toppling down. My advice, don't buy this product and make sure what you get is made with good and durable materials. I'm taking it back and hopefully going to get something a lot better.
