Super Soft and my Clients LOVE them

I started purchasing these sheets before I started Massage Therapy school in January for my massage table. I wanted to provide a good quality sheet that would be comfortable to the client. They absolutely LOVE these sheets. They actually comment on them on a regular basis. I am still in school and have clinic every Saturday so these sheets get washed after only one use every week. They continue to get softer and have held up beautifully.
I would give 5 stars but they are NOT wrinkle free. I have to fold them immediately out of the dryer so they look half way decent. All in all it's been a great sheet for me and I intend to use them in my spa after graduation.

Not wrinkle-free as claimed

Upon opening the package, I dunked the new sheets in water and immediately tumbled them in the dryer, which even has a wrinkle-release feature setting. However, the sheets came out of the dryer with just as many wrinkles as they went in. Having paid more for the wrinkle-free feature, this is a false claim from the manufacturer. I've always loved Wamsutta for the durability of their sheets, but this product just does not deliver what is advertised.
These will be going back to the store today.

Great Sheets for the Price

I have a split XL King bed so I need two XL Twin Fitted and a King Flat. Decent sheets that are sold separately are incredibly hard to find. I've had these sheets for 18 months. I wash my sheets every week and I think they are holding up well. They don't wrinkle too much if pull them right out of the dryer. They are soft and comfortable. I haven't had any problems with holes. I do wish they were a bit longer on the sides.

Good Try - But Misses the Mark

The sign in the store said "Wrinkle Free" which was the first requirement on my list; but these are by no means wrinkle free. The wrinkles WILL iron out, but I didn't buy Wrinkle Free sheets so that I could IRON them! Next, I checked the dimensions on the flat sheet (my 2nd requirement) and it does have a generous width that allows for adequate drop on the sides. That is the only good thing about these sheets. The hem at the top of the flat sheet came out of the first wash all skewed; like they used scrap yard goods (not cut along the grain correctly). I spent way too much money on these to get second rate sheets. They will go back to the store tomorrow.

I took a risk buying these sheets and pillowcases while in the USA on vacation to take back to London where I'm on assignment. Was so pleased with them that I bought more for myself next time I was in the USA. Now my daughter has them too for her home in France. Wash up beautifully and are really wrinkle free. They feel wonderful too....

POOR QUALITY

I had these sheets for less than six months before holes started developing on the bottom sheets. I mean big holes. I see a lot of poor ratings only to be followed by a five star makes me think that we have some paid reviewers for Wamsutta trying to keep their rating for going down. All the five stars are suspect. DON'T BUY THESE SHEETS UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND BIGS HOLE IN YOUR SHEETS!!

I bought this set to replace the Elite Sateen that I have had for over 10+ years. This was the set recommended to me when I called into Wamsutta. They were right, these are very nice and soft. I do miss the Elite Sateen, but am very happy with the Sateen 525. Glad I made the phone call.

We have bought three sets of these sheets over the past four years and love the softness and colors. The instructions say wash in COLD water which we do. They always come out of the dryer looking wrinkle-free and soft. I wonder if others are using hot water or the wrong detergent with a front load washer?

This is the first time I have ever reviewed a product but I was so disappointed in it that I feel compelled to write. I was amazed how the info in the reviews matched my experience. I am a widow so sleep alone in a queen bed. I was absolutely shocked when my relatively expensive fitted sheet had a rip and was worn very thin in one area. I have never had a sheet do that before. I would not recommend this product. The quality does not match the cost.

Favorite smooth sheets for 8 years

PostedJune 22, 2012

These sheets start smooth and soft and only get better with age. The first set lasted me several years alternating it with another. I buy more when they wear out. I don't even bother with other sheets anymore. These are perfect year round.
In response to reviewers saying they rip or were thin, I disagree and wonder what they are doing to cause such damage or if they caught a defective product. That has never been my experience except when a cat jumped and missed the bed, catching a claw and tearing the fitted sheet as he fell- he is a 20 lb. cat! He has also ripped percale sheets. If you want industrial thick sheets then maybe you will be unsatisfied with most sheets on the market at this threadcount or less.
Perfect sheets. I hope they never stop making them. Every other sheets (even really high count versions from Wamsutta) are scratchier and unsatisfactory with their weight feeling too heavy. I bought a set but keep passing them over for the 625 count when I open the drawer. The stitching detail at the turndown and on the pillowcases is pretty too.
Don't bleach them and them and they'll last.

Kudos to BBB, but not to Wamsutta

Received these as a wedding gift in Oct 2010....eighteen months later work up to a HUGE rip in the fitted sheet. Was very disappointed to read the reviews online with many many other customers with this same issue. I took the sheets back to BBB and they allowed me to return all of the set (plus extra pillow cases) for a store credit. So kudos to BBB for making this right, however they should discontinue this product since it's obviously not of good quality.

Soft but thin

I am on my fourth set of sheets for my 22 inch mattress after owning my mattress for about 4 years now. These Wamsutta Sateen sheets have been my last two sets. All 3 Wamsutta sheets have worn so thin on the fitted sheets that LARGE holes have developed. However, I love these sheets and particularly the dark chocolate color that I can't find in the higher thread counts. Oh and they are so soft, that pillows like to slip out of them, even. If I could I would rate them 5 stars for softness and because they are wrinkle free. One star goes to thinness and durabilbity. Just keep your receipt, however. Bed, bath and beyond keeps replacing my sheets about every year when i return them. Customer service has been WONDERFUL. If you loose your receipt they will replace them at a much lower cost than what you purchased them for.

I have these sheets in all of our bedrooms. Each set has ripped on the seam of the flat sheet in the wash once or twice, but Bed Bath and Beyond's customer service is so wonderful that they have replaced the sheet each time with a new one. We love these sheets and so do our guests because of how great they feel. I don't think I would go with anything else and I definitely wouldn't shop elsewhere!

Didn't last a year

I bought these because the lower thread count from Wamsutta was incredibly scratchy. These didn't last a year... eleven months to be exact. The fitted sheet is tearing all over the place... worn thin. And huge tears... not just little pinholes. When I looked closely, you can see all over where other places are about to go and then it will look like swiss cheese. I am so disappointed these didn't last.

Love these sheets!

I absolutely love these sheets and, since discovering them in my local store when the "Mirage Blue" was on sale (the only reason I purchased them originally because I was looking for a blue sheet to match my son's bedroom walls), they're the only sheets I now buy, I have never had a single rip, tear, or seam come undone. I have a very deep mattress (it has two toppers on it) and the fitted sheets fit perfectly and never pull off at the corners. They are soft, but beautifully cool on a warm/hot night. My one complaint relates to purchasing them, and certainly not to their quality. With the exception of my son's room, I prefer all white bedding and my local store never seems to have the white in stock when I want it. I always have to order it on-line and I begrudge having to pay the shipping costs. I would like BB&B to offer an in-store ordering service so that I can pickup from them and not have to worry about additional charges.

Bought these for my son's room. The color is exactly what we needed. The sheets are very soft. When the first pillow case ripped I blamed it on his orthodontic appliance. When the first sheet ripped I blamed it on too much washing. Now the other sheet has ripped and I finally realize it's the poor quality. I still like the color and the softness. If you're buying for a guest room, very little wear, it's worth it. If it's everyday use, forget it!

i bought these sheets before reading any of the reviews and i'm glad i did. after 18 months they are in perfect shape..no holes, no tears. the color is the same deep, rich blue as it was when i bought them. i just purchased 2 more pillow cases and they are exactly the same color as the ones i bought over a year ago. my husband loves them and so do i. i don't understand how so many people are talking about holes and tears. i highly recommend them and will be purchasing additional sheets next time i'm in the usa.

Big Disappointment!

About a year ago, I bought two twin sheets for my daughter's bed . She has a memory foam pillowtop pad on the bed and needs a deep pocket sheet to accomodate it. This sheet was the most luxurious sheet in my price range that would fit the bed. My daughter was thrilled with them. They were really beautiful and rich looking. I recently noticed one sheet was completely worn through where her feet would touch. I know she moves a lot in her sleep but come on! It was like someone took sandpaper and rubbed a hole in it! I ended up throwing out the first sheet. I now see that the second sheet is also wearing out in the same area. No, she is not in need of a pedicure. The sheets are just poor quality.
I have never seen this happen in my life. My mother still has the same sheets she used on our beds for YEARS!! Pretty expensive to have to replace sheets every year, expecially when they are made so cheaply in Pakistan. But it's nice to know that eventually the textile industry will shift to the USA again, once we are a third world country! Seriously, we can't accept this garbage.

My husband and I purchased these sheets in the queen size, washed them, and put them on the bed last night. We absolutely love them. The weight is really nice, but the sheets breath very well. They are deep enough to cover the mattress, and hold up to my husband's tossing and turning. They were not too hot, and very soft as well. We bought these as a secondary set, but we also have a set of Eucalyptus sheets that are very comfortable as well. Overall, these are very nice, and I am interested to see how they hold up in the long run.
