Customer Reviews for Chicago Metallic Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Popover Pan

Chicago Metallic Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Popover Pan

To create great popovers use this six-cup pan made for the job. The six extra-deep cups are spaced far enough apart so your popovers won't spill onto each other after they bake and rise. Constructed of professional heavy-weight metal, this sturdy, non-stick bakeware is "the choice of professional chefs." Dishwasher safe. Measures 16" L x 9 1/2" W. 25-year warranty.

After using the pan for about a year and a half (hand-washing only, using recipe that came with it) some of the pan coating came off onto the bottom of the popovers. Not a pretty sight.

Love these pans... makes great popovers. Trick to real puffy popovers is to let batter sit longer.

Yes, it is a one-trick tool, but if you want a proper popover then you need a proper popover pan and this one will definitely do the job with a proper popover batter. As someone else noted, try Alton Brown's recipe.

Works perfectly if well greased with Crisco (not oil) and heated in a hot oven for several minutes berfore adding batter. Wonderful popovers!

The popover pan works great. I followed Alton Brown's recipe from Food Network. It was a total success. You will love the results you get with Chicago Metal Popover Pans and following Alton Brown's recipet. Make sure all of the ingredients are at room temperature.
Tell Martha Stewart and Barefoot Contessa to step aside. You will be using Chicago Metal Popover Pans.

I originally purchased two but returned one as it did not work as I had hope. We have dinner parties several times a year serving prime rib and yorkshire pudding and I thought individual puddings would be nice. They stuck and just did not come out as well.

A "Must Have" if you love popovers! Using a standard muffin pan just does not result in the way a popover should look or taste, after all presentation is part of cooking!
I've tried a lot of different recipes for a standard popover, & the one included with the pan is by far the best!
